The next morning I was early to breakfast, but so were a lot of other students. I immediately spotted Harry and sat near him. I noticed he was looking at Cho Chang. She looked back and he spit his drink out. I chuckled to myself.

"What's so funny?" A voice behind me rang. It was all too familiar. Draco. "Oh, I know, it's funny that you're now dating Viktor Krum. Who would have guessed you would date such scum." Draco yelled out for the whole world to know.

I stood up and turned around. "It just so happens that for one, I am not dating him, yet anyway, two you've got Krum and yourself mixed up, you're the scum." I glared at him and walked over to the Gryffindor table to sit by my friends. I noticed Hermione reading the Daily Prophet and I drew my attention to a picture of Cedric and me hugging.

"What's this?" I pointed at it.

"Reeta Skeeter has proven to make a fool out of all four of us."

"Great, what's she saying about us?"

"For one she's saying that me and Harry are together and that I'm cheating on him with Viktor Krum, and two she's saying that you and Viktor Krum have been doing inappropriate things behind Cedric's back."

"How is it that I always ends up
doing inappropriate things?" We both rolled our eyes. Next a boy came up to Ron with a package.

"Box for you Mr. Weasley."

"Thank you Nigel." He said taking the package. Nigel just stood there staring at Harry.

"Not now Nigel, later." Ron pushed him away. We looked at Ron intensely.

"I told him I'd get him Harry's autograph." He said untying the package. "Oh look mum's sent me something." He pulled out a long robe that looked like it had been rotting for centuries.

"Mum sent me a dress." He said standing.

"Well it does match your eyes, is there a bonnet?" Harry looked around and pulled it out and put it to Ron's neck. "Ah ha." Harry smiled. Everybody just laughed.

"Ginny these must be for you." He walked a little down the table.

"I'm not wearing that, it's ghastly." She eyed it in disgust.

"What are you on about?" Ron walked back over to us.

Hermione and I giggled. "They're not for Ginny." She said.

"They're for you." I finished. Everybody on the Gryffindor table laughed.

"Dress robes." We said in unison. Ron looked at us in terror.

"Dress robes, for what?"

We both looked at each other and giggled. We all had the same class next so we walked together. It was with Professor McGonagall, but today we weren't doing Transfiguration, today we were learning to dance.

"The Yule Ball has been a tradition of the Tri-Wizard Tournament since it's been in session. On Christmas Eve night, we and our guests gather in the Great Hall for a night of well mannered frivolity. As representatives of the host school I expect each and every one of you to put your best foot forward, and I mean this literally because the Yule Ball is first and foremost a dance." All of the girls squealed at this and I just looked as grumpy as the boys.

"Silence, the house of Godric Gryffindor has commanded the respect for the wizard world for nearly ten centuries. I will not have you in the cost of a single evening dispatching that name by behaving like a bambling bumbling band of baboons. To dance is to let the body breathe. Inside every girl, a secret swan is longing to break free and take flight. Inside every boy a lordly lion prepared to prance, Mr. Weasley, will you join me please." That was hardly a question. Ron got up and joined McGonagall in the center of the room.
