The Darkness was oppressive, suffocating. The illumination coming from Cora's hand did little to keep it at bay. Still, she pressed onwards. The city was counting on her. Eve was counting on her.
Suddenly, a light broke out in the Darkness. The Obex. The crystal was beautiful, emanating an angelic light. Still, though, Cora could see the Darkness beginning to infiltrate it. She took a deep breath, reaching out for the Obex.
