"This is perfect! We just need to change up the plan a bit," Danielle smiled mischievously as she walked around our dorm room. "You've talked to their Quidditch captain, right?"

"Mhm, the brooms are ready too. It's a good thing mom believed my charity excuse. Tell me how you heard about the second task again?" I looked at her questioningly, still dressed in my pajamas and comfortably laying on top of my white sheets.

"As I was going back to the common room I decided to take the long way, and the headmasters were having a meeting in the faculty room." She narrated as she opened her closet. "They left the door slightly open. Stupid mistake, really." She continued, picking out the clothes she wanted to wear for the day.

"So to put it simply, you eavesdropped?" I chuckled.

"No!" She turned abruptly, guilty from my statement. "It's not my fault Dumbledore was talking so loudly." She defended herself.

"Alright, if you say so." I held back my laughter. "Have you told that Luna girl about it yet?"

"Yes- and let me just tell you again, Bass," Danielle's tone had become serious as she turned to me. "In order for this to work, you're gonna have to be a bit nicer." She instructed before sashaying away to the bathroom. Moments like this reminded me that she was, in fact, a member of the Noble House of Black—reserved but could straighten a hundred people whenever they wished.

And goodness, this girl could be scary sometimes.

I groaned loudly, rising up from my comfortable pile of fluffy white pillows and clean sheets.

I put on a black tennis skirt along with an oversized black and brown sweater, with a pair of black boots. Since there weren't any classes today, we were given a chance to slip out of our uniforms and watch the second task.

Getting ready to watch the tournament today felt a lot more different than the last, when I was practically shaking from the fear of what danger this competition might cause my boyfriend, well- ex.

I continued to get ready, dabbing on some blush on my cheeks to give color to my pale, lifeless face. I put some mascara on my eyelashes and lastly, applied some lipgloss on my lips.

As I was gliding the applicator against my bottom lip, a flashback of the time when long, slender fingers doing the same thing to me played inside my head—a brief reminder of sinful rendezvous I had spent with a certain boy.

Fuck you, Malfoy.

I brushed my soft hair back with my fingers, tucking it behind my ear after.
