On Aru Shah's fourteenth birthday, she wakes up and finds a strange tattoo on her body. She doesn't remember ever going to a tattoo parlor (mostly because her mom would kill her). And, if she ever did get a tattoo, why would she pick a camera as the image?
On Aiden Acharya's fourteenth birthday, he too discovers strange tattoos on his body. He doesn't understand why a fish (looking suspiciously like a Swedish Fish) decided to ink itself on his wrist.
