When the other two came up to me, they didn't say anything about the man, Dabi. Which tells me that they probably didnt see him. Both of them are very talkative and noble souls that would probably ask if they thought I could be in any type of danger. Before we split up to go home, we all took a pre-emptive breath, school is starting soon. ~~~~~~~~~~~~After a couple more stress-filled weeks, the first day of school showed its face. Izuku was nervously jogging in place and muttering to himself. I couldn't help but let out a small laugh at him, I mean, who wouldn't? Inko was trying to calm him down and get him to eat his breakfast, luckily, Izuku did end up calming down enough to eat. ~When we get to the school's entrance, Izuku has started freaking out again, but, after seeing Inko take care of it, he was able to ground him pretty easily. They walked into the school and tried to follow the signs to get to the classroom. Luckily, they led them straight there, and they were able to walk inside. Killua feels Izuku's aura darken into fear again, and he follows his gaze to one Katsuki Bakugo. Who is, at this moment, getting yelled at for having his feet on the desk. "Good morning Midoriya-kun! Good Morning Killua-kun!"We both turn around to see Uraraka with her normal bubbly smile. We both greet her back before Izuku gets swept up talking to glasses, I tune them out because Uraraka joined the conversation. I know she wouldn't let anyone talk bad about Izuku. I walk to my preferred seat by the window, and watch as a caterpillar slithers through the door... That's an interesting quirk, but not entirely surprising. But then the caterpillar turned it's head and oh by golly it had a face. He looked homeless, with his stubble and his eyebags. We make direct eye contact and I raise an eyebrow at him, silently asking him what he's doing. And at this point, I want to know what god he offended in his past life to have a quirk that makes him eat the ground. But then he starts moving around, brushing his hair out of his face and...Brushing his hair out of his face? Oh.... It's a sleeping bag. Well, that makes a lot more sense I guess, though the caterpillar option would've been funnier. At this point, everyone is looking at him, but he's just holding eye contact with me. It's a bit unnerving, but I like a good staring contest. Just as I was getting into it, I was sure I was gonna win, he looked away, he didn't even BLINK. He didn't give me the satisfaction of a win. He left me alone to wallow in my self-pity. But then he started talking, and if I didn't already think he was homeless, I would now. His voice sounded tired, and its been a while since he's met someone with that type of voice. "If you're here to make friends you can leave" Well damn, he's prickly isn't he? Everyone started to settle down, sitting in their respective seats when the former caterpillar now turned depressed moth walked his way to the front of the classroom. "It took most of you 8 seconds to settle down and even longer to notice me. Either way, this is class 1-A. Now take these and go to the changing rooms." He was holding up absolutely hideous gym uniforms and Killua almost gagged cause, come on, this is one of the most prestigious schools on the planet and they couldn't even pay a fashion designer? Not only are the normal uniforms gross, now the gym uniforms are? The horror. Nevertheless, he was the last one to get up and grab a gym uniform, tailing behind the rest of the kids, hoping to be left alone. Luckily, his wish came true but he was saddened when he realized there are no stalls in the changing rooms. It wasn't that Killua was ashamed of his scars, but he didn't like the questions that came with them. When Izuku had seen them, his first instinct was to bombard him with questions. He decided to just turn his back to the wall while he changed, hoping that those next to him didn't see the discoloration out of the corner of their eye. Thankfully, they didn't. Killua ended up being the first one out, despite being the last one in, it was sad, to be honest. The moth was waiting outside with his eyes on his watch. He looked up, seemingly surprised that someone was out but when he saw Killua, his eyes shrank back down from the fraction of an inch wider than they had gotten before. They just stared at each other again, before the teacher, once again looked away. It took another minute for the other kids to get out, probably because they were talking, which Mothman reprimanded them about. Then came the quirk assessment test. After someone, stupidly, said it'd be fun, Moth-sensei said he'd expel the lowest score. That kicked everyone into gear. ~~~~~~Killua didn't want to stand out too much, so he stayed at a relatively high placement, but not first place, 5th place out of 20. He didn't really pay attention much to the quirk assessment, just swaying in and out of focus for each of the things he had to do. Thankfully, he maintained 5th, and thanks to his training, Izuku got somewhere around 6th. Some girl named Hagakure got last, but Moth-sensei said it was a logical ruse. My guess is that he was going to expel the last place, but he saw the potential in an invisibility quirk and let her stay. Killua started walking back to the school when he got stopped by Moth-sensei. "Nezu wants to see you." Shit, he had forgotten about meeting with Nezu. Killua just nods and turns to start walking into the school again, however, Moth-sensei was following him. "Got a problem?" "Nezu taking interest in anyone is a problem" That's the end of that then.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~When he gets to the office, he walks to sit down in the chair in front of Nezu's desk while Moth-sensei stands in the corner of the room."Good Afternoon!" This is destined to be a wild ride. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~"So, you've informed me of a specific science issue that you've been having trouble with. But considering your test scores, it's most likely not a normal problem. So, care to enlighten me?" I glance over at Moth-sensei in the corner. I've resigned to having to trust Nezu, because he's the only one with a possible solution to my problem. However, can he trust Moth-sensei? He's obviously experienced, and seems more serious than anyone here but so was Illumi, and he was an asshole. As if sensing his inner turmoil, Nezu speaks up. "Eraserhead here was one of the first humans who interested me. So I can tell you with absolute confidence that anything in this room that you don't desire to be revealed will remain confidential."It makes him feel a little better that the smartest person in the world put his trust in Moth-sensei, or Eraserhead, I guess. And he trust Izuku but he's still apprehensive. But he guesses that if this is what it takes to possibly get home, he has to. Besides, he could just take them all down if push came to shove. Killua takes a breath and bluntly says, "I'm from another world. And I need help getting home." Both teachers in the room blink. Most likely not believing him. "And what led you to this conclusion?" Nezu asks. " I woke up in the middle of nowhere, then I started hearing about these things called quirks, which is similar to something in my world called Nen." Killua responds, trying to push back his aggravation at the disbelief from the other two. " And you don't just assume you have memory problems?" "I remember everything from my other world. I had friends named Gon, Kurapika and Leorio. There was a Hunter Exam. A place called York New. Hunter's Licenses. Nen. And yet, after extensive research, I have found that none of those things exist here.""Interesting. Anything else? "Heroes and Villains don't exist in my world, just hunters. Chimera Ants don't exist, not in the way I know them, and my family, who is infamous, doesn't exist either." At this point, both teachers look more interested, obviously believing him more."Do you have any evidence?" At this, Killua pulls out his Hunter's License, which he brought with him everywhere, despite it not meaning anything. And he told them what it was. Nezu grabbed it and examined it before passing it to Moth-sensei who did the same. " Okay Killua, I have to admit this is intriguing but I would like to get a lie-detector in here before we blow this out of proportion. Detective Tsukauchi Naomasa, he's incredibly reputable, and he's great at keeping secrets!" Nezu folds his paws on the desk. "Anything to help me get home..." Nezu claps his hands together. "Excellent." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~'That was tiring.
