I sent Zach of to bed, giving him a quick kiss on the forehead, saying I love him and everything before he went away, the kid looked disturbed with something and he didn't tell me, yet. I sighed, whatever it was he was bout to tell me sooner or later, it would be easier if he just told me now rather than I find out myself what stupid shit he had done. I'll disown him if he fucking gets involved in gangs or drugs, I'll kick his ass so hard he'll forget his own name. I walked out the kitchen, heading for my bedroom to change before I head out late.
I grab my phone and my little bag before walking towards the door, pushing it open, gently, trying my best not to make any unnecessary noise as possible, trying not to wake up the two boys. I grabbed the keys, opened the door, closed it shut behind me, making sure that it was locked my heart was at peace as I turned around to face the old buildings around this place.
My ears were on alert as I walked out the sketchy place, trash was littered everywhere as usual with a group of drunk people here and there on the streets, far from where we lived but I felt unease to leave the kids alone. I kept quiet, head lowered as I stayed in the shadows and made my way to a few open shops at this time of the night. I stopped in front of Asher's favourite one, he always dragged me and Zach here every time we walk past here, wanting to look around and look at the amazing stuff they had before eventually asking me to buy him something.
I smiled as I walked through the doors, I hoped he liked the present that I had gotten him. It wasn't something big, but it was something he would like. Asher loved nature a lot, I had gotten him a camera with a few other small stuff but would he like it? I didn't know. He was growing older and I seemed to have lost track of time as one was nearly an adult that didn't need me in his life anymore and the other was nearly starting secondary school. God I was going to be alone soon, what was I going to do without then in my life?
I placed all my items on the self checkout, scanning the things and paying with my card as I packed everything into a bag that I had brought. I had gotten too many stuff, getting snacks for the kids so they could do a movie night together. I walked out, breathing in the cold air as i looked around me and how dark the place had gotten as I was busy getting everything. I started making my way home, but an unsettling feeling was in my stomach as my spirits hadn't spoke a word since I had left home. It was too quiet, something we all hated was being quiet when we were with each other in peace.
'What's crawled up your asses tonight?' I was met with silence and that startled me, they always had something to say. What was wrong with them?
'I have a bad feeling, Raven.' Anna broke the silence, speaking about what had been bothering her and I shrugged my shoulders. She had always been on edge, nothing out the ordinary for her.
'Everything's fine Anna.' Anna sighed, not bothering to fight with me as she went to the back of my mind and that's when I started to worry a little. 'Fuck, I completely forgot I had work tonight for the club.' I picked up my pace, sprinting to reach the house as i needed to make something for the boys and then get a taxi and the leave as quickly as i can. I cursed at myself, noticing that I had accidentally taken a wrong turn somewhere while racing in the dark.
"Fuck me."
'Stupid' Amber, my lion scoffed at me, I rolled my eyes at how much help she could be sometimes. I groaned annoyed as I still had a long way back home now. I didn't know how to teleport human backs to wherever they want, I only knew how to magic small things here and there but that was only the basic you learn from a young age. Anna laughed, ignoring her I thanked her for her help for making the bags disappear from my hands.
My wolf and lion suddenly were on alert, standing up with their ears picking up some unfamiliar voices from in head of me. My face dropped into an emotionless glare, my hands itching to reach for my knife but I didn't take action as I slowly made my way towards the noise, keeping quiet and at a safe distance to not be spotted by anyone. "Pl-please let me go." There was a woman that was in the Center of a few men, surrounding around her and caging her in between the walls. Tears rolled down her checks, fear seen in her red eyes and I knew she was a vampire, a scared vampire. Her neck had scratches, blood pooling down at her feet and I felt bad for her but I wondered what had happened.
