Taking a right in the Rang Rover I felt my heart sink deeper into my chest, mind going wild with disturbing thoughts but I still managed to smile for Ash, it's been more than a week now and he still doesn't know the whereabouts of his brother other than the lies I've been feeding him. I didn't want him to worrying, he was only a child himself, he had other things to deal with as well, I can look after Zach. If Ash saw Zach in that condition, it wouldn't be good for either of them. "Venna?" Someone patting my shoulder, my thoughts jolted to the back of my mind as I hummed, waiting for Ash to speak up again, I've been so out of lately.

"What's wrong?" Tyler continued on for him as I kept my eyes glued on the road in front of me, holding back tears by bitting down on my lip but it didn't really help.

I gave a little hum back in response, losing the energy to actually hold a conversation with the two kids, thought it wasn't even their fault. I'll make it up to them, maybe food should do the trick? I needed to pack something for Zach to eat, he looked like a dead corpse on that bed. "I'm fine, kiddos." I pulled a smile on my face.

"You've been oddly quiet today." Tyler pointed out as I lowered the music they were listening to. "Are you okay?" I widen my smile, bopping Tyler's nose as I gently pushed the kid back into his seat in the back.

"Ofc I'm okay." Ash sighed and guilt filled me as he looked away from me, not believing my little smile as his little eyes stared questionable out the window. I grabbed his hand in my mine, giving him my best smile I could.

"Raven I'm being serious, what's wrong?" Asher's has never said my name before, never in his 11 years of leaving has he said my name, only addressed me as Venna or sis, I tensed up. "Don't say nothing, you haven't said anything since you picked us up, you're quieter, than usual." He pointed his small finger between Tyler and him, who nodded his head to everything that Ash was saying.

"Just work you know." I held back the tears, until to meet my brothers eyes as we were nearly back to the Stones compound. "Nothing to worry about!" A song played on that Ash loved. "I love his song." I quickly turned up the volume and Tyler grinned as he screamed his lungs out in the back, following the lyrics but Ash's mood didn't change.

"Where's Zach?" My heart stopped."

"He's at Juan's house." I cleared my throat, the lie slipped out so easily that even I was questioning myself, I hated lying to my brothers.

"Tell him to come back soon, I miss him." Ash looked at me, I looked away as my heart filled with pain and water gathered in my eyes, Tyler was unbothered in the back as he listened away to the next song. "Go easy on work, Venna." I forced a laugh out of me, pulling up in front of the Stone's house as the kids grabbed their things, ready to exist the car but before leaving Ash leaned over and gave a kiss on my check pre-usual, I couldn't help but smile, kissing his forehead. "Love you."

"Love you too, kiddo." I mumbled against his forehead, closing my eyes as he pulled away from my arms and closed the door behind him. I kept the smile on my face as I waved to the kids, smiling until the front door closed and my lips dropped in a frown.

Unbuckling myself I placed my head against the steering wheel. 'Andrew, any chance of them waking up yet?' I contacted the only person I knew that could help me, he didn't leave Zach's side, he stayed by him when I was passed out, he worked from the hospital and kept his promise to take care of him while I was taking care of Asher. I was hesitant to mindlink Andrew, I didn't want to bother him with so much when he was already offered to take care of my brother.

I didn't get anything back, the silence broke me something inside of me as the tears I was fighting to hold back finally stream down my face.

I need him, he can't leave like everyone else. How will it tell Asher? He will never forgive me for not telling him about his brother's health.
