Bahu: Daughter-in-Law.

I just realised that both the couples have the initials 'T&Z' now. :D

I was in the kitchen, having tea, when Zoha walked in, looking a little lost.

Dressed in a gorgeous sky blue Anarkali dress with heavy silver embroidery on the neckline, she had pulled her hair back in an up-do, with a strand of hair loose on each side of her face. In her ears hung a beautiful pair of silver earrings, and around her neck was an amethyst and diamond necklace.

"Good Morning, Bhabi." I grinned.

"Good Morning." She looked at me, her cheeks suddenly pink. "Woh kahan hain?"

*"Where is he?"

"'Woh' kaun?" I teased.

*"'He' who?"

In the olden days, and even now, some women don't refer to their husbands by their names, instead calling him with terms like 'He', 'Him' or 'His'. Or, as in Urdu it will be, 'Woh', 'Unhain' and 'Unka'. But Zoha called He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named by his name, so why not Talha Bhai? (I mean Abdul Rehman, not Voldemort).

"He went to the mosque with Zain." I explained. "I think Aunty mentioned that he wanted to make a donation at the start of his new life with his beautiful new wife."

My beautiful sister/jethani blushed harder. "Where is Aunty?"

"Getting ready. Mama and Meesh will be coming with breakfast." I laughed. "Thanks to you, I get breakfast for free."

"For once, stop thinking about food, Tara." She rolled her eyes as she walked around the kitchen, looking around.

"This is where you will make things for us all." I teased my sister.

She turned to look at me. "I am your jethani, not your dewarani. Don't forget it, dear sister."

Zain and Talha Bhai returned then, and Zain just needs an excuse to tease me. "Exactly, Bhabi! Don't let her boss you around!"

"Assalam Alaikum." Although Talha Bhai was greeting both of us, his gaze directly headed towards Zoha. Nobody knows better than me and Zain who powerful a Nikah can be.

"Walaikum Assalam." Zoha and I replied together.

"Zain, come with me." I grabbed my husband's arm and practically dragged him out of the kitchen.

"What?" He looked confused.

"God, you're so clueless!" I whispered as we headed upstairs.

"Oh, you want alone time with your husband?" He grinned, cheekily.

"No, you weirdo. I want to give the newlyweds some alone time." I shook my head. "Seriously, Zain, it's common sense."

"Tumhare saath ek saal se reh raha hoon. Meri common sense bhi jawab de gayi hai." He wrapped an arm around my shoulders.
