Felicity Thomas was born into the world of the supernatural, a world she has regretted living in since birth. Born of an Alpha Werewolf and a prophetic witch, she was her own little blend of the supernatural.

The Werewolf gene came in the anger, present in her blood something she learned to control. And on her sixteenth birthday came the gift of the Mate, a rare trait among her Pack of Wolves.

The prophetic magic manifested in her touch and her mind. The ability to collect memories, and without control steal and give them. Something she would come to hate and harness.

She was supernatural, a world she wished she could leave. A person she would wish she wasn't born to be. She was different, and she wanted to be normal.

City Thomas was an orphan by the time she was sixteen.

The same age she triggered her Werewolf curse.

But to her, she had been cursed her whole life.

Life takes from children all too often, separating them from the delicate love of parents, and burying them in the dirt with lost hopes and dreams. It leaves children on their own with nowhere to go and no place to hide.

But that is the way of the world, children bury their parents when the world is well, and parents bury their children in war.

The little town of Mystic Falls was no stranger to the dark desires of life. And neither was City.

So when her last and final parent was ripped from her life, she was devastated. She was left alone, surrounded by reminders of her family, only adding to the constant grief growing inside of her. She couldn't handle it.

So City did the only thing she could think of. She ran.

She spent three months wandering with the Werewolf packs spread across the terrain of North America, trying and failing to put herself back together. Piece by piece she became stable, but she would never be the same girl she was a year ago. A Wolf and a friend talked her into returning home, and with a heavy heart, she did.
