"Why don't you go eat something, I'll stay," Lovely pressed her hand on Joanne's shoulder. Joanne shook her head for the hundredth time.
"You haven't eaten anything since yesterday, you can't go like this," she said firmly. Joanne didn't reply. She just sat there, looking at him. He was breathing evenly. His face looked peaceful. All the wires connecting to his body hurted her heart. Her eyes started to droop as her body didn't cope with lack of sleep and food.
No, I can't fall asleep. What if he wakes up...
"Joanne! Stop being stubborn. Your health matters too," Lovely scolded her. "Please."
"I'm not finding the will to leave his side. Just the idea of staying away from him for even a second is killing me," she said as she caressed his face.
"I know, I know it hurts. But please, don't you think it's going to hurt him if he sees you like this? You can wash up and have a change of clothes. Doctor said he is going to be just fine, so please," she begged. Joanne ran her fingers through his hair and got up. Her head spinned because of the sudden movement and she held the bed post for support.
"Look for Jimin downstairs, he will help you," she said. Joanne nodded and walked to the door. She turned and looked at him before walking out.
She found Jimin along with Jin who was buying medicine. They smiled as soon as they saw her.
"Hey," Jimin greeted. She gave him a weak smile and walked to him.
"Can you take me home, I have to change," she said. Jimin nodded and handed the reports in his hand to Jin.
"Take some rest, we are here. If he wakes up when you are not around, we will call you okay?" Jin patted on her shoulder. She nodded and smiled.
"Jungkook is a strong guy. I don't know if you remember but we used to call him hulk," Jimin giggled. Joanne's heart skipped a beat when Jimin said that.
"I don't remember anything Jimin," her voice came off broken. Jimin's face turned into a concern instantly.
"Hey," his voice came off soft. "It's going to be okay," he said. Flashed his warm gentle smile.
I wish, oh how I wish.
After going home, the first thing she did was step into shower. She let the warm water run over her body and wash away all her worries. But how she wished it was that easy. She was too tired to eat or cook anything but she had to. She told Jimin to leave as she felt like sleeping.
