The sunlight slips past the gaps of the cream curtains of my room, directly piercing through my slumber eyes and waking me up. As they fluttered open, I feel a presence next to me lying on the bed move. I look ahead to see a peacefully sleeping Bucky by my side and I couldn't help but brush off strands of his hair off of his face. His eyes slowly come to an open as he remains his gaze locked on mine.

"Hi," He says softly with an early raspy voice. "Good morning."

"Morning, Sargeant." I respond with endearment. I continue to play with his hair, admiring the little details that make it so special, "I like seeing you first thing when I wake up."

He chuckles lowly, using his right arm to bring me into his embrace and making me nuzzle warmly into his neck, "Then let's always wake up this."

"Did you sleep well?" I ask, sounding mumbled.

He sighs, "Still had nightmares but," he pulls away just enough to look down at me, "then I felt you sleeping next to me, and suddenly those nightmares went away."

I smile again and hugged him tighter, both of us staying in that same position for a moment like we had all the time in the world. Like the world could wait for us. But we both knew in the back of our minds that those nightmares were the only thing stopping him from being truly free. Even though his left arm is now gone, only a bandage to cover its remains, there were always traces left of HYDRA in him.

It's been a week since he's been luckily pardoned from being an assassin, but he had to be put on probation until we found a place for him to recover. And he can't be labeled as an Avenger unless he does get better. Therefore staying home in the new Avengers Headquarters was the only thing he could do. The government wanted to place him in therapy, but we knew that wouldn't be enough. We're all on a journey to find a place that could help Bucky dig deeper.

As for Bucky and I, let's just say we've been spending our time feeling cozy. God, not... fonduing. Just never letting each other out of our sights. We still stayed in the same room unlike everyone else and excluding Tony who lived with Pepper.

"Hmm, as much as I would love to stay here forever." I release myself from our hug and sat up from the bed, "I have to train with Nat and Wanda right now." I could have sworn I saw him pout when I let go.

"Can't you just stay here? With me? I feel like I could lie down all day for the first time in almost a hundred years."

"No can do, Sargeant. It's my last training. New recruits are supposed to be coming soon." I say as I walk over to my closet to put on proper clothes.

"Can't I train with you then?" his voice echoes from the room.

"You've been on your feet for seventy years, Bucky. You have to rest. Until the guys come back from Sokovia to help us find you a recovery place, you should just take this time to relax."

He releases a heavy yet whiny sigh that I've never heard him do before. It made me giggle in fact. I walk out of the closet all ready and see him sat up on the bed with sullen painted on his face.

"Oh don't be so sulky. I'll see you after." I cupped both of his cheeks in my hands, making his lips pucker. I took this chance to lean in for a kiss, keeping him in place as I softly land my lips on his. It was only a peck but it was enough to make his frown turn upside down.

"Alright. But before that," he stands up from the bed and pulls me with him, wrapping his hand around my waist that made me gasp in surprise. He reaches for the radio behind us on the coffee table and turns on a familiar song. "Dance with me."
