His eyes are stuck in his notebook. He hasn't raised his head as I'm constantly glancing towards him. He hasn't said anything; it has been a few days since I last heard his voice. His eyes haven't met mine since the night he came to my room. We haven't talked since then.

I had told him it was over between us. It had to be for both of our sakes. We had to let each other go; even though that was not what we wanted. He broke my trust; he lied to me; hurt me more than I thought he could ever yet I want to be close to him. His presence calms me putting a part of me that needs him in peace. He makes all my insecurities vanish by just being close to me. Although, I needed time; time to process everything that happened. Time to think; if I can move on; if we can have a future; if I can trust him; if I can offer him myself again.

I slowly turn to him again. He keeps writing quietly; he pushes his hair back revealing his face. My heart aches at the black circles under his eyes. He hasn't slept just like I haven't either.

The bell rings but before I can speak to him, he rushes off of the class. After putting my bag in my locker I follow the mass as we're going to the main hall. The Principle has some announcements to make and consequently, we'll lose some periods.

"Hey," Anna grins when she sees me. Her brown hair is falling in her shoulders gracefully; her green eyes are painted with warmth.

"Hi, I didn't see you in class earlier,"

"One of my teachers wanted my group for some explanations about our project," She explains.

"Okay," I smile. "How was your date?" I ask and her whole face lights up. A beam forms in her lips while a small wave of redness covers her cheeks; making her look adorable.

"It was amazing!" She cheers and I laugh. "The restaurant was so beautiful and romantic! He was incredible the whole time...I didn't want to leave," She mutters the last part and I put her in my arms.

"I'm so happy for you. Noah is lucky to have you," Her cheeks become rosier as she smiles.

"Thank you," She whispers. "Come sit with us,"

I follow her around the huge auditorium. Rows of seats are being placed that lead to the stage where the Principle and a few teachers are talking. We make our way through bodies as voices and laughters fill the air.

"Come on dude!" A voice echoes above the most startling me. I turn to find the origin but fall into someone.

"I'm so sorry,"

"It's okay," A girl with curly hair replies smiley. I hurry not to lose Anna that is a few feet in front of me. I have excused myself, pushed my way, and even fought with a boy to reach the place where we sit.
"Hey!" Noah's voice makes me grin as he stands up hugging me.

"She loved the date," I murmur inside his arms. I lean back and see him beaming from ear to ear.

"Well...I'm amazing, what can I do about it?" He asks playfully before I swat his arm. "I'm kidding, I'm kidding," He exclaims between his laugher. I sit next to him before I let my eyes scan the room. I find Jacob with Cyle sitting a few seats in front of us in the side. I search better and find him.

His bag is rested over his shoulder; his hair glowing under the lights. He sits down next to Jacob before a girl stops and stands in front of them. She blinks playfully at them, laughing and playing with her hair while she speaks. I roll my eyes feeling the irritation getting the best of me.

"Everyone take a seat quickly, we need to start." Mr. Lance says through the microphone; his voice whips round the tremendous room.

The whole time, I watch Corbyn. I notice the way his hands run through his hair; the way his eyes travel around the room; the way he laughs and talks with Jacob and his friends. At some point, he takes off his jacket; his muscles distinguishing under his shirt. I feel mine clench and tense only at the sight of them; in the way they do they when Corbyn is involved.

"We need to inform you about the new program that..."

"Can't he shut up?" A boy from behind grunts and I giggle at the support he gets from his friends.

"I can't believe we missed classes for this," Another boyish voice speaks.

"We lost two hours of lessons guys! That's all that matters,"

Corbyn's eyes scan the room quickly; I feel my heart clench at the thought he might look for someone that I know it is not me. His eyes nearly meet with mine when I lower my gaze. I notice how Noah's and Anna's hands are intertwined. I look up only to find his eyes glued to mine. I don't tear my eyes from his; I let myself enjoy the feeling of happiness and anticipation that wash me over. I get lost in his ocean blue eyes until I see everyone from my peripheral vision stand up.

"If anyone needs a clarification, feel free to ask your teachers. Now, please go to your classes for the continuation of your today's program. Thank you," The principal announces. I turn to Corbyn but the standing and moving bodies don't allow me to find him. I feel disappointed as follow the rest of my classmates towards the exit doors.

"I don't want to go to chemistry," Anna complains and I giggle. This is the first time she has nagged about anything.

"Me neither," I agree. "I'll go to the restroom, I'll see you in class,"

On my way back, the corridors are almost empty; only a few students are standing outside of their classes waiting for their teachers. Passing through a soundless and vacant one, I think about Corbyn. I don't know what to do; what to think. Things are messy between us yet there's nothing clearer for me than the depth of my feelings for him. Can I completely forgive him and trust him again?

A hand grasps mine and opening a door, I'm being pushed inside it with force. The grip is tight and instead of fire blazing my cells and an explosion of desire inside of me, my body fills with terror; chills run down my spine. I jolt my arm away before I spin to see the person who dragged me in here hastily.

His back is turned on me as he shuts the door. A frown of confusion flashes my face before the boy turns around. My eyes widen and I freeze in place; all the air evaporates.
