Justin Bieber strode swaggeringly down the corridor of West Chance High School.

A group of swooning senior girls followed him aimlessly until he reached his locker. He turned his head to them as he opened the locker, turning the lock to the correct numbers and at once they looked away, flushing a deep shade of magenta. Justin disregarded them.

Exchanging book for book, he closed his locker shut a moment later, letting the black and silver lock clang against the metal locker. He carried on marching down the corridor, his folder in his hand by his side and his head held high.

Many girls dared a look at him as he strode past. He even flashed some nervous ones a smile. It relaxed them a little bit. Their faces softened only the slightest and it gave Justin a sense of relief.

He made it outside of Math class and waited patiently, cocking his head repeatedly to the side, angling it. Whistling, a few of his friends sauntered past, wearing their varsity jackets condescendingly. They hollered jauntily, clapping one another on the back. Justin chuckled, amused by the unprofitable performance.

"In you go, Mr. Bieber."

Laughter ceased, he turned his head to see Miss Nellie surveying him. She was quite a boring teacher: her greying hair tied tightly back into an unimpeachable bun, minimal amounts of strands falling. She wore barely any makeup except blusher and mascara. She even wore long skirts, blouses and blazers – always altering the colour for a new day. She must have about fifty, mused Justin.

Justin hadn't even realised that everyone was filing into the classroom. Instead, he was top of the queue and shamefully, he ambled into the classroom, silenced by Miss Nellie's glowering. There were only a few stragglers after him to enter.

"Please get out all of your books and turned to page fifty nine. I want to continue with algebra, please," she instructed. "Carry on where you left off last lesson. In silence," she hissed as there was an intensifying amount of chatter that terminated at once.

Hauling his books out of his bag, Justin carried on with the algebra equations in tranquil silence for about half of the lesson. By this point, babble was arising amongst the students; Miss Nellie surrendered and instead, let them prattle on.

The door burst open, nearly hitting the poster-covered wall near the fine line of tables. The withdrawn girl sat at that desk jumped back, her chair scraping the floor. She readjusted her glasses on the bridge of her nose before bowing her head, her face a flaming crimson colour.

The girl, eyes more of a teal colour, hair hickory at the top at her roots but caramel at the bottom at her ends, looked sheepish. Her cheeks were flushed, a deteriorating magenta colour as her chest heaved. Her hair was thick yet pin straight and ended at her hourglass waist. Her lips were a faint bubblegum colour and she had a few scars from old spots dotted on her cheeks, closely disguised by makeup. She wore a dark maroon skirt, thick tights, small black ankle boots and a knitted jumper, her backpack fortuitously causing her skirt to be slightly shorter at the back but not perceptibly. She wore countless material bracelets that circled her wrists and a piece of string around her neck with one single Coke glass lid on, a hole punctured it at the top.

"Come in, Miss Royal and sit down," demanded Miss Nellie softly in an infrequent serene tone. "We're carrying on with the algebra from last lesson so you haven't missed much. As I recall, too, you nearly finished it last lesson."

Miss Royal nodded and sat down at the corner of the room behind the girl she startled. "Thanks, Miss."

"You're welcome, Juliet."

"How come we'd get told off if we come in late and she never does?" Justin spoke up, gesticulating nonchalantly to the late-comer known as Juliet Royal.

"How come," retorted Miss Nellie, "that when I ask the class to do algebra in silence, they commence talking to one another across the classroom?"

Justin fell unspoken.

At the end of the class, the bell chimed, echoing in everyone's minds. Justin, wincing, stood up and began assembling him possessions. Juliet, the girl who came in late rushed out of the classroom at once and Miss Nellie didn't even glance up at her.

"Just because you're a ring leader, Justin," exclaimed Miss Nellie as he strutted past, "does not give you the right to shout out in class."

"Yes, Miss," he sighed in a quiet tone.

Justin made his way to his locker and exchanged a book. He had a free period now which meant he was encouraged to go to the library and study for other classes. Needless to say he joined his group of friends and prated about with them.

Juliet was already at her locker, her folder compressed tightly against her chest, causing a little ache. Her locker was a few doors down from the boy she barely knew anything about. She was a girl of secrets and mystery, keeping the enticement alive. Juliet Royal. Her last name gave off a very misinterpreting implication.

"Hey, Royal, why don't you rule this school?" a girl sneered from behind her, scowling and ridiculing her name.

The comments weren't a recurrent thing, but they were still said here and there sporadically.

Justin, a few lockers down slammed his locker shut and turned to Juliet leaning his side on his own locker. Juliet, purposefully looking away from Justin, placed her folder delicately in her locker. She shifted bag over her shoulder and retrieved her pencil case from it.

"Juliet's a pretty name," Justin exclaimed. "You could rule me any day, you know." His tone was suggestive.

Juliet hurriedly retrieved a hair-tie from her pencil case and strung up her hickory hair into a bun, leaving a few strands to suspend precariously down. She zipped up her pencil case and slammed it back into her bag, withdrawing an English book from her locker in prior to slamming it shut.

Why is he talking to me? Juliet asked herself. Justin was the popular boy with mass amounts of friends and partakes in diverse sports. Not that Juliet was alone in school; she was going to meet up with her friends on the bench round the back of school in a matter of minutes for studying.

"I have to go, sorry," she said.

Juliet immediately began to stroll off further down the corridor, already acknowledging the fact that Justin was still by the lockers. Justin, with light brown hair that was spiked up in a quiff and honey brown eyes and full pink lips with a button nose, was always persistent in arguing his story. She had come to apprehend this in her many lessons with him. Still, they had hardly exchanged pleasantries before.

Juliet made it to the bench alone, her friends not there yet and sat down. The fact that Justin had come up to her bothered her in a way she knew she shouldn't feel about attention like that.

"You'll never guess what happened to me," Michelle crooned, sitting gracefully down next to Juliet.
