The following weekend after following a week of cheering Jazmyn up because Ethan was a "total jerk" and "not worth Jaz's time," according to Justin, it left little time to work further on the Music project which would need to be showcased soon.

Of course, in other lessons, there was a mounting pressure for the exams but after receiving the results back at the end of last year, I wasn't too worried at the moment, and neither was Justin.

Both of us had gotten A's, B's and a few A*'s in our preferred subjects.

Justin was coming round my house since the piano was here and we had to utilise both my piano and his guitar for the project. Mercifully, he could bring his guitar into school but I would have to use the school's piano for the song. This wasn't so bad, but it helped playing the piano with the small, wooden piano on top of mine which Justin gave to me. It was like a good luck charm.

Acquiring a little time to progress on with some other homework, that's what I did until I heard the doorbell ring throughout the house. Due to Dad being in his study, he answered the door before I had even made it down the stairs after shoving my homework to one side. Dad beckoned him into the house and he said he'd give up some privacy to do the project.

"It's in this room," I said, leaving my own room's door ajar slightly and moving to the spare room at the end of the hallway.

"You have spare rooms?" Justin asked, bewildered.

"We're a small family," I nonchalantly replied, shrugging absently.

My Music notes were already on top of the piano and Justin had brought a wad of notes with him, too so he placed them adjacent to mine. He even had his guitar that was leaning delicately against the piano in a jet black, hard case. We both sat on the stool with a proportionate half each. Then silence dwelt.

"So, do you have any ideas or anything?" I asked, huffing out.

"Well, I thought we could add lyrics to the song, too," Justin replied, wavering slightly with ever-increasing, magenta-tarnished cheeks.

"We need the music first," I teased. But when Justin didn't laugh, I pressed on with, "Unless you have an idea and you're not sharing it."

"Well, I've written some songs... two songs. I wrote them for you. One is called Fall and the other is called Be Alright," Justin said. "Would you like me to play them to you?" He reached a hand over to his guitar in the case but let it immobile resting on it.

Nodding, I said, "Yes please."

Wordlessly, Justin edged the guitar closer and then unzipped the case to retrieve his acoustic guitar. All the while, I slipped back on the stool to give him more room before I ended up falling off the edge. I plummeted to the floor with an ooft! Justin chuckled but then placed his guitar on the seat. He helped me up and then rested his arms just below my bum. From there, he bent down and picked me up, ambling to the side of the piano. He placed me on the edge and then maneuvered the seat to face me on the edge of the piano. My feet were kicked gently as they hovered there. Then Justin sat down and adjusted his grasp on the guitar.

"The first one I'm singing is called Fall."

He began playing the guitar and began singing, "Whoa, ooh. Well, let me tell you a story about a girl and a boy. He fell in love with his best friend. When she's around, he feels nothing but joy. But she was already broken, and it made her blind. But she could never believe that love would ever treat her right." He dragged out the last word.

My heart was clenching and fluttering in my chest with every word he was singing. He sang another verse before getting to the chorus. "What's gonna make you fall in love? I know you got your wall wrapped all the way around your heart. Don't have to be scared at all, oh, my love. But you can't fly unless you let yourself fall. You can't fly unless you let yourself fall."
