Soundwave was still as the mountains he tread upon

Soundwave was still as the mountains he tread upon. Not a wire stirred as he stared at the human. An alarm pinged silently on his visor that the energon source was near, but it was not this human female. Although she was still an oddity, with eyes that glittered and glowed like a feline.

         Neither stirred.

Hoping she simply froze from some sound startling her, Soundwave remained still, but the woman was clearly staring at his visored faceplate. Why wouldn't she say anything? A scream would have been preferred than this unsure silence.

Unsure of if she actually does see him and unsure of what action to take.

Eventually the mammal did move, stepping closer to the mech with moccasin clad feet, fur on the inside keeping her toes warm. The biting wind whipped her hair to and froe, dark in the moonless night. Her only tie to civilization appeared in the form of jeans, but the coat she wore was clearly hand sewn, expertly so, and lined with another organic, furry animal's pelt from the hem to the hood. Her mittens were woolen, carrying a wrench, torch and pliers.

She finally did something other than near the titan, still staring at his visor, so she had definitely seen him with those cat-like eyes. They did not have vertical slits, but they had a very strange glow to them with the minimal light from the glittering stars and were wide, almost too wide to be proportionate.

The mech contemplated capturing her, an easy enough task with a simple shock to her puny organic systems or simply grabbing her with one of his helpful appendages. Alas, this plan was interrupted when the female hit a rock with her wrench, opening a panel and allowing the blue glow of energon to be revealed flowing through small tubes. Through these actions she did not cease her staring.

"Your kind are selfish." This human finally spoke, as if she met Cybertronian's before. "Take what you like, sip my mountain dry if you must since you have rightly found it. Just leave me alone, and we will get along fine."

She took the torch and heated a metal bar between the wires, making Soundwave's wires prickle at the thought of an explosion, but this human apparently knew what she was doing as the rod slipped behind another panel and the energon glow dulled, the current slowing.

-/Designation and/faction/- Soundwave demanded, greatly intrigued that this human, who clearly knew at least some power energon can provide, would so willingly give it up. Especially if this entire mountain was riddled with the life-giving substance? It did not sit right by him.

"(Y/N) (L/N), escaped M.E.C.H. employee." She glanced at him, her flashing eye knowing well the disliking between this alien species and the human organization. "If you wish to know more, simply come back, and I will tell you what you wish to know."

She disappeared again, the sound of metal hinges, most likely rusting, screeching with the wind before silence engulfed the TIC.

         What had he just witnessed?

Soundwave had taken photos of the human female, enhanced them and even recorded her vocals, but they didn't seem to match any M.E.C.H. employees he had run into so far. She held no traces of experimentation after a scan (though inaccurate until he can properly adjust some details to properly scan an organic life form) but she was so nonchalant. Her eyes had remained wide, expression blank.

Instead of dwelling on it further, Soundwave snapped a photo of the liquid energon lines before closing the panel in the rock and leaving the mountains. He transformed at one of the mountain's peaks and charged back to the Nemesis for a time, informing Laserbeak of what had transpired before creating a groundbridge and landing atop the flight deck.

The sun had just passed its highest peak.

Red visors stared, all tense once again as the Communications Officer stepped quietly into the Nemesis. He took note that he was only gone for an hour, organized his findings and filtered them in chronological order. This was how he liked it, and the commute through the Nemesis was more than enough time to organize his information and inform Megatron that he was on his way (via private message, of course). Simply walking also allowed Megatron to traverse from the engine room to the main bridge as well, Soundwave watching him from the Nemesis cameras.

The purple mech had slowed his pace, ensuring Megatron would arrive first. When the door slid open, the leader had already begun to open one of the energon files, specifically locations. Megatron may appear to do nothing but brood, but he is as hard a worker as Soundwave in his cause. They were not in dire need of energon, but anything the Autobots didn't have was a win to the Decepticons.

"What did you find?" Megatron turned to face his most trusted, nodding when he showed the aerial view of the mountains. "I'm sure the Autobots will not detect it then."

Then Soundwave played the recorded footage of his scouting around. The hinges creaked in the dark winds, and he paused when the human woman appeared at the corner of his visor, zooming on her covered form and placing a clearer picture of her next to it. Megatron raised an optic ridge, not surprised by this happening but curious as to why this fleshling was apparently important enough to point out. This planet was crawling with the pests, what's one more?

"The human is connected to the Autobots then?" The war lord made his assumption, to which he was content to know was wrong as Soundwave shook his helm slowly and played the un-doctored video of her short speech. Megatron glared at the video when she claimed to be an escaped M.E.C.H. employee, but his interest grew in this human as Soundwave pointed out the shining optics- or eyes, this human possessed, along with the energon line hidden within the rocks of the mountain. "So, this human knows of energon and its power?" He mused. "Odd that it is so willing to part with it. I think I will leave this in your capable servos, Soundwave. If you think this fleshling may conceal any other useful information, use any means to ring it out of the creature. You are dismissed."

Soundwave gave his usual nod and slipped from the main bridge into the halls of the war ship. This human female, (Y/N) (L/N), did say she would give the information asked of her. Soundwave simply had to go back. He had to anyways now that this potential mining operation was his. Speaking of which, the mech noticed the last of the energon was being hauled to the Nemesis, so he ordered Laserbeak to return once the last of the equipment had been returned and the Vehicons cleaned up the area.
