A/N : Chapter a little longer ;) First Brooke appearance!

Another Saturday night, another Basketball night. The entire High School is here to watch Lucas' first game and it includes Brooke Davis, the Cheerleaders' Captain.

"Hey there, Soccer girl." She smirks seductively at me.

"Hey there, miss Davis." I wink jokingly. "Had nice holidays?"

"Always have." She smiles. "I've heard Nathan lost against the newbie. It sucks."

"I guess. Nathan had it coming though." I shrug.

"Is my baby mad at her best friend?" Brooke makes her finger caress my cheek sensually.

"Still not your baby." I gently put her hand away. "And not mad. Disappointed is more suitable."

"Care to share your thoughts with me after the game?" Brooke bites her bottom lip.

"We'll see about that, beautiful." I kiss her cheek and make my way to some of my Soccer friends.

To say Lucas had a shitty first game is an understatement. I can't help but feel bad for the guy, he is not a bad one and he certainly doesn't deserve it.

"Hey, what are you thinking about, gorgeous?" Brooke says entering my bedroom later that night.

"Something way less wonderful than you, that's for sure." I playfully smirk looking at the beautiful girl in front of me.

"Stop it, I could practically fall in love with you, right away." Brooke smiles with her signature smirk.

"As if such a thing could happen." I chuckle and she glares at me. "What?"

"What would be wrong with me falling in love with you?" Brooke pouts.

"Well, first of all, you couldn't try to put Lucas in your bed." I start. "Then, you would have to stop fucking around and actually start to be in a real relationship."

"Do you think I can't do those things?" She seems sad.

"I don't know. Maybe once you'll find the right guy, babe." I say extending my arm so she can cuddle my side.

"Aren't you my right guy? Or girl? Or whatever makes sense here?" She makes me laugh.

"Maybe one day, who knows?" I smile and kiss her temple.

"Would you take a chance on me, Harrison?" Brooke asks seriously.

"If I am sure we are going somewhere, yes." I answer honestly.

"So maybe in some years, right?" Brooke wonders. "When I'll be sure I'm ready for your love?"

"Something like that yeah."

My phone rings, and Brooke gives it to me.

"It's Peyton." She whispers with a weird look.

"Again?" I frown. "Are you sure to be her best friend still? Cause it sure feels like I am." I earn a slight slap on the shoulder and a pout from Brooke. "Don't get mad at me." I try to kiss her neck.

"Answer the phone." She glares at me.

"Hey P. Sawyer, what's up in your lonely world? Shouldn't you be fucking with your boyfriend after the game he had?" I laugh.

"I was about to, but he left me alone, outside, in the dark." Peyton is mad.

"Ouch. Why did he do that?" I wonder.

"I'll tell you later. Can you pick me up?" She asks.

"Sure, where are you at?"

"Somewhere near the river?" Peyton tries.

"I'm pretty sure it sounds like a song." Brooke whispers to me trying to think.

"Can you walk to the Park? I'll pick you up there." I try not to laugh at Brooke's comment.

"Sure." Peyton seems relieved. "Thank you, Tay. Really."

"No problem." I hang up and smile to Brooke.

"Guess it's time to say goodbye?" She pouts like a baby.

"You can come back whenever you want, you know it." I hug her.

"Wouldn't miss the opportunity." She whispers in my ear sending chills all around my body. "I love having that power on you."

"I bet you do." I end the hug and stand up. "Let's go, I'll be late." She stands up and I slap her ass knowingly making her turn to me with her flustered look. "I love having that power on you."

"I hate you, Harrison. I truly do." She walks out of my room and I follow. "Be careful, Taylor." She kisses my cheek.

"Sleep tight, Brooke." I do the same.

I leave and drive to the Park where I find Peyton and Lucas talking. They seem to enjoy each other company and it is great to see Peyton smile for once. I decide to show myself and Peyton walks to me.

"Will you be mad at me if Lucas gives me a ride back home?" Peyton frowns slightly.

"Well, normally the answer would have been yes, but I saw you smile to someone else than me or Brooke for the first time since a couple months... so, I guess I'm going to pretend you've never called tonight and let you go home with whoever you want to." I smile at my friend.

"You're a true friend, Taylor, and I know I put you in weird situations recently. So, thank you for helping me even if your loyalty to Nathan screams "Kill the bitch" at you."

I chuckle and look at the girl in front of me for a moment. Why does she spend her time breaking up with Nathan when she could be happy with someone else?

"Enjoy your night, Peyton." I smile. "And don't forget, I'm only one call away."

"Thank you."

I drive back home and get ready for bed when my phone rings again. I prepare myself to joke about Lucas since I thought it would be Peyton, but Nathan's name appears on the screen.

"Hi, bro?" I pick up the phone. "What's up?"

"I'm sorry." Nathan seems sad.

"Sorry about what, man?" I wonder.

"I'm being an ass to you and to Peyton too." He explains. "I know it. I feel it. You know, after the game against Lucas, when I saw you leaving with a weird look on, I knew I messed up big time, not because I've lost but because I tried to play it dirty, as always. I know I'm being stressed and mad all the time, I know we don't hang out anymore, but Dan is being harsh on me lately and I lost sight of what is important to me in my life."

"Which is?" I ask.

"The people who actually care about me. I've let Peyton down a million time recently and I didn't show up to your game this afternoon. And I'm truly sorry about it. So, I was thinking, maybe you would like to catch up sometimes. Like, spending some time just the two of us, like old times?"

"I'd like that, Nate." I smile at his words. "And for Peyton don't worry, you guys will figure this out."

"I hope yes..." He sighs loudly.

"Oh and, by the way, I've played well today. 2 goals, 1 assist, no missed passes. Coach was happy." I tell him.

"What about Cole?" Nathan teases sadly.

"Oh, you know, the usual "You did well daughter, but next time 3 goals won't hurt" card." I chuckle thinking about my father's words.

"Same Dad's card played here tonight." Nathan chuckles too. "Ice cream and video games on Monday after school?"

"You know how to talk to me, Nathan Scott." I accept gladly the offer.

"My place, 5 pm?" He seems happier.

"Sounds good. Have a nice weekend, Superstar." I tell him.

"You too, Soccer Star." He ends the call.
