Switched Chapter 7

Chapter 7: Sunblock

I woke up because of the sunlight I felt on my skin. Inaantok kong iminulat ang mata at nakita ang bulto ng isang lalaking nakatayo sa tabi ng sliding door patungong veranda. It's Vince. Binuksan pala niya ang kurtina kaya nagliwanag dito sa kwarto.

I groaned because of iritation and covered myself using a comforter. I'm still sleepy. Ni Hindi ko namalayan na nakatulog na pala ako kagabi dahil sa pagod at antok. Jetlag hit me so bad yesterday kaya siguro nakatulog ako kaagad.

"Anong oras na?" I asked Vince while I'm still under the comforter.

Naramdaman ko ang paglubog ng higaan sa tabi ko at hindi ko alam kung bakit biglang kumalabog ang puso ko. Am I nervous again? Nervous about what?

"It's already 9 in the morning." He said huskily.

Bahagya kong ibinaba ang kumot hanggang ilong at sumulyap sa kaniya. He looks like he just came out from the shower. His hair was a bit damp. Nakasuot na rin siya ng brown shorts at black na v-neck shirt. I suddenly wondered, dito ba siya sa tabi ko natulog kagabi? Or did he slept at the sofa?

"Staring again?" His teasing brought me back from my reverie.

I immediately avoided his intense gaze and cleared my throat. Bahagya akong bumangon mula sa pagkakahiga at napansing iyong suot ko pa rin kagabi ang suot ko hanggang ngayon.

I bit my lower lip and glance at Vince again, he's busy with his phone now. So he didn't tried to touch me or even undress me last night? Well, maybe he thought that if he did undress me or touched me last night, it will made me furious this morning. But still, it kinda gave me an unexplainable feeling about him respecting me as a woman because he didn't touch me.

"S-Saan ka natulog kagabi?" I tried to sound casual but my tone of voice traitored me. I sounded like a soft and feminine lady right now!

"Why?" He asked with a ghost of smirk on his lips.

I shrugged off the awkwardness I'm feeling and exhaled deeply.

"Just asking." I shrugged.

He chuckled huskily before raising his brows at me. He looks amused but his eyes remained serious even though his lips slightly raised for a smirk.

"I slept here..." He said and tapped the part of the bed beside me. Tatango na sana ako nang magsalita ulit siya. "...but don't worry, I put pillows between us."

Bumaba ang tingin ko sa gitna ng kama at doon ko lang napansin na may dalawang unan nga sa gitna namin. I swallowed hard because my heart started to beat faster again. I didn't even know why it's beating like this!

"Oh? Didn't thought that you are a gentleman, Mr. Callahan?" I teased and giggled.

He licked his lower lip and slightly leaned closer to me making my breath hitched. Hindi ko ipinahalata ang nagulat kong ekspresyon sa kaniya at pinanatili ko ang ngisi sa labi. I looked like I was teasing him even though my lips are already trembling because of our closeness right now!

Bumaba ang tingin niya sa labi ko at mas lumaki ang ngisi bago ulit nag-angat ng tingin sa mga mata ko.

"You're blushing." He smirked and stood up.

My lips parted because of shock and my hands immediately held my cheeks because of embarassment! Ganoon ba kahalata ang kaba ko ngayon na pati pisngi ko ay namumula na?! Damn it! I swallowed hard again and looked at Vince who's also staring at me.

"T-This is because I haven't took off my makeup yet!" I defended and composed myself.

He pursed his lips and cocked his head to the side like he's amused or something.
