Chapter 24: Stay

"Oh, shit..." I groaned and I tightly closed my eyes because of my throbbing head.

Sinapo ko ang noo at dahan-dahang ibinuka ang mga mata. My eyes turned to slits when I noticed an unfamiliar room around me. I blinked twice and immediately sat up with widened eyes.

Fuck, where am I?! Did something bad happened last night?!

Dahil sa kaba ay halos pikit-mata kong itinaas ang kumot na bumabalot sa katawan ko. Nahigit ko ang hininga at mas bumilis pa ang tibok ng puso dahil sa kaba nang makitang nakasuot na lang ako ng long sleeve dress shirt ngayon!

What the fuck happened last night?!

I stood up from the bed and I started walking around the room while biting my nails. My underwear are still the same but the thought of having different clothes as soon as I woke up is horrifying!

Nagsisisi na tuloy ako ngayon kung bakit naglasing pa ako kagabi. I shouldn't had drown myself with alcohol!

I jumped from my place when the door opened behind me. Nanlaki ang mata ko at dahan-dahang lumingon sa likod. My breath hitched when I saw who's behind me and suddenly memories of what happened last night keep on replaying inside my head.

Damn it!

"V-Vince..." I whispered under my breath with my widened eyes.

"How are you?" He asked casually and entered the room with a tray on his hands.

I don't know if I'll ran out of the room or I'll follow him to the bed. Should I escape now?

"Don't even try to escape, Ameira," he suddenly said making me caught my breath. He look at me over his shoulder. "You can never get out of this house, I'm making sure of that."

Awang ang labing tumitig ako sa mukha ng kaharap. He's also staring at me but after a while, I immediately looked down.

W-Wait, what did he call me earlier?!

"Drink this for your hangover," he said and he pointed his finger at the medicine on the tray with a water beside it.

I stayed silent and went to his side, giving an enough space between us. Ininom ko 'yung gamot na nandoon at tubig. I sighed inwardly when it somehow makes me feel better.

"Ameira," my name sounded good when he's saying it!

Natigilan ako at nakagat ang pang-ibabang labi. I can't even look at him straight on his eyes! My heart is beating so fast because of a familiar emotions building up inside me.

Kilala niya ba ako? Did he know that I'm the one who pretended to be his wife before? Did he know everything that happened before? Or still not? Then how did he know my name?

"Ameira," he repeated making me looked up to his face.

His towering over me and he instantly closed the distance between us. Because of nervousness, I stepped back and unfortunately, there is a bedside table behind me!

His gray eyes are full of emotions I can't read. Bago pa ako malunod sa kulay abong mga mata niya ay nag-iwas na ako ng tingin.

"Ameira," he said my name again!

I gulped hard and I gasped when he lifted my chin up to look at him using his fingers.

"W-What?" I asked and averted my gaze again.

I can't look at his eyes! I feel like I will immediately submit to him if ever our eyes met!

"Look at me," his voice is hoarse and husky making my face blushed.
