Switched Chapter 14

Chapter 14: Happy

Pagkatapos kong mailagay ang mga gamit ko sa backseat ng sasakyan ni Vince ay tahimik akong sumakay sa shotgun seat. Remembering what happened earlier is a hell for me. He almost saw my sister! And just the thought of him discovering the truth is making my heart race because of nervous and... fear.

Ikakabit ko na sana ang seatbelt ko nang maunahan ako ni Vince. He locked it and his mint breath immediately fanned my face. Our faces are just inches away and even though I badly wanted to touch the tiny stubbles on his face, I can't... and I shouldn't.

Biting my lower lip, I moved away from him by resting my back against the backrest of my seat. Nilingon ko nalang ang labas at umarteng parang wala lang sa akin ang lapit namin kanina na sa totoo lang ay halos maubusan na ako ng hangin dahil sa pagpipigil ng paghinga!

"Hindi ka na galit sa akin?" I asked Vince to break the silence between us.

He's driving seriously ang his grip on the steering wheel tightened emphasizing his biceps.

"When did I get angry to you?" He asked back.

His dark brooding eyes staring in front while one of his eyebrows shotted up.

"K-Kanina? Galit ka sa akin kanina diba?" I frowned, remembering how he treated me coldly earlier.

Hindi siya agad sumagot at ipinasok muna ang sasakyan sa isang gasoline station. Napanguso nalang ako at lumabi habang hinihintay ang sagot niya. I'm sure about him being angry earlier! Para siyang babae kanina na may period eh! Hindi namamansin!

"Full tank." Sabi niya sa lalaking staff ng gasoline station sa labas.

The guy outside saluted to him before pressing some buttons of the gasoline machine beside him. Nilingon ko nalang si Vince at nakita 'kong inayos niya ang pagkakarolyo ng sleeve ng polo niya sa braso bago ako hinarap.

I looked at him with attentive eyes, waiting for his answer.

"I'm not angry at you earlier, Alleira. I'm just pissed off." He explained.

Kahit gaano ko kagustong punahin ang pangalang itinawag niya sa akin ay pinigilan ko ang sarili.

"Pissed off by what?" Kunot-noong tanong ko at tuluyan na siyang hinarap.

Everytime he speak, his dimple is showing and I find it hot for him! May kilala naman akong lalaki na may dimples rin pero bakit hindi sila ganito kagwapo sa lalaking nasa harap ko?

He cocked his head towards the phone resting on my lap making me look at it too.

"What's with my phone? Hindi ka naman maiinis nito dahil hindi naman ito nakakapagsalita o nakakagalaw!" I laughed after explaining something he knows already.

"That's not what I mean." He groaned. "Those smiles and laughs that escaped your lips earlier just because of your chatmate is fucking irritating."

Namilog ang mga mata ko dahil sa sinabi niya. He looks like a lion ready to eat his prey right now. Plano ko sanang pigilan ang pagtawa ngunit kusa na iyong kumawala sa labi ko.

"What's funny?" He asked with dark eyes, mukhang hindi gusto ang naging reaksiyon ko.

"I'm laughing because you're funny!"

He only answered me with an irritated sigh before paying the guy outside and started driving again.

Hindi pa rin nawawala ang ngiti ko sa labi kaya narinig ko ulit ang iritadong buntong-hininga ni Vince. I bit my lower lip to suppressed my wide smile. Is he jealous? I know that I shouldn't think about this but what he said earlier makes me think about it.
