Chapter 8: Photoshoot

"Mr. Callahan?"

Napatalon ako mula sa malalim kong pag-iisip nang makarinig ng boses sa likod ko. A man in his white shirt and black shorts smiled widely at me after I looked at my back. I blinked twice and cleared my throat before smiling back at him.

My smile turns out to be fake because of my nervousness. My lips are kinda trembling because of my fast heartbeat that's why instead of giving the man a sincere smile, a gave him a very fake smile.

"Jared." Si Vince nang makalapit sa amin at nakipagkamay kay Jared 'daw'.

I pursed my lips before stepping back a bit because everytime Vince is close at me, my heart will beat erratically which... I should stop. I shouldn't build up feelings for him because I knew from the very start that this is wrong! Very wrong! He is my sister's fiancee! And I'm just a fucking replacement for my sister!

Agad na nalipat ang paningin ko sa braso ko nang masuyo iyong hinawakan ni Vince. And here comes my heart again! Sisinghalan ko na sana si Vince para palitan ng galit ang nararamdaman ko ngayon nang bigla niya nalang akong hinila palapit sa kaniya.

My chest bumped onto his chest making me inhaled harshly because of shock and feel his heartbeat too! Hindi ko alam kung tibok lang ba ng puso ko ang nararamdaman ko o puso niya dahil mabilis rin iyon!

I swallowed hard and looked up to see his face. His grinning while talking to Jared. Siguro naramdaman niya ang matalim na tingin ko kaya nagbaba siya ng tingin sa akin.

His arms are possessively wrapped around my waist and to cover up my real emotions, I glared at him.

"What do you think you're doing?" I whispered, enough for him to hear it.

He pursed his lips and crouched a bit to whisper on my ears.

"Acting like we're a happy couple?" Patanong na sagot niya. "My mother is the one who hired Jared as our photographer so there's a big possibility that he'll spy on us."

Umikot nalang ang mga mata ko dahil sa sinabi niya. Spy again, tss!

Ngumiti nalang ako at lumingon kay Jared. Pasimple akong kumalas mula sa pagkakapulupot ng braso sa akin ni Vince at tumayo nalang sa tabi niya. I can still feel Vince's stare towards me.

"Nice to meet you, Jared." I smiled before holding Vince arm as an act.

"Nice to meet you too, Ms. Montebello." He smiled.

Ilang minuto pa naming napag-usapan ang tungkol sa gagawing photoshoot. I'm sitting on a lounge while Vince is beside me with his arm snaked around my bare waist. Sa kaharap naman naming lounge ay nakaupo si Jared.

"We'll shoot after lunch until sunset. Maganda kasi kung kukunan rin kayo kapag sunset na." He said.

He's a Filipino photographer that's why he can speak tagalog. Tumango ako dahil sa sinabi niya. Sunset is a great way to take a 'romantic' picture.

Napatingin ako sa kamay ni Vince nang bahagya iyong pumisil sa tagiliran ko.

"T-That's a great idea. I love sunset and I know that sunset is a great time to take a romantic picture so I love that idea of yours." I smiled sweetly before I glanced at Vince.

He's so close to me and even our bodies are touching. His face is serious again like he don't like what's happening right now. Ano? Ayaw niya ba nitong photoshoot? Or he don't like having a photoshoot with me?

That thought striked a pang in my heart. Hindi ko alam kung bakit bigla nalang naging mapait ang kaninang matamis na ngiti ko dahil lang sa kaisipang iyon.
