Sorry, just a filler chapter, I was studying and taking tests this week :)

You felt yourself growing cold and shifted in your position but you felt an arm wrapped around your shoulder. You quickly opened your eyes and realized your hand was draped over Spencer's chest. You quickly sat up. Spencer jolted awake and moved his hands over his face to block the sun. His eyes widened and he sat up as well.

"We fell asleep in the middle of a field in the back of a pickup?" His voice was raspy and low

"Yep" you stretched your arms and rested yourself against his chest, he wrapped his arm around you again, almost like a natural response, it felt warm and cozy

"Well that's a first" he rubbed his eyes and yawned

"Oh god what time is it" your eyes widened and realized the sun was already up,

He groaned and looked down at his watch, his eyes widened as well and his body stiffened "It's 8:30 am, oh crap"

"Oh god" you quickly pushed yourself off of him "I have half an hour to open the store"

"And I am very late for work" he groaned and slowly stretched his arms and yawned

"I can drive you to work" you offered and hopped onto the grass, Spencer followed behind and opened the door to the passenger's side

"That would be great thanks" he began to redo his tie and attempted to fix his hair "Are you driving barefoot?"

"Um" you glanced down for a second "No because I have socks on"

"Where your shoes" he laughed

"Hopefully not in the middle of a field" you giggled "Put your work address into the GPS"

"Alright"

The rest of the drive was quiet and peaceful. You had dropped him off at work and made your way back to the store. You grabbed your shoes from the back and grabbed your keys. Once you unlocked the door you quickly turned on the lights and hopped your way over to the counter putting on your converse at the same time, trying not to fall over

"Well look who finally managed to come into work"

You yelped when you found Mr.Patterson on the second story leaning over the railing "Don't do that"

"I hope you didn't do anything nasty in my truck" he highlighted the fact that you were wearing the same clothes as yesterday

"No we just fell asleep in the back" you finished tying up your shoelaces and began to open the register "We were star gazing"

"You took him to your spot?" He raised his brow "I thought it was sacred"

"It is" you smiled "I don't know there's something about him, like a real connection."

"I knew I was right" he shook his head "I'll see you at the wedding I'm going to my room for a while"

"I'll see you soon" you smiled to yourself, you felt yourself growing fond of Spencer. You were taking things slow and he understood and tolerated your random rants last night and you could listen to him talk about the littlest things for hours.

Spencer ran out of the elevator and quickly walked over to his desk. Trying to look as casual as possible but Luke quickly caught on and walked over along with JJ.

"Somebody didn't go home last night" Luke ruffled Spencer's hair

"It's not what you think" he smirked and pulled his satchel over his head

"Spence you are wearing the same clothes as yesterday" JJ held her hand out and demonstrated his state

"Still not what you think" he rolled around in his chair "We went on a date," he said with a proud smile

"Where.. in her bed" Luke joked

"No" Spencer scoffed before he could finish the rest of his thought, Emily had stepped out of her office

"Guys we have an urgent case, I will brief you all on the plane wheels up in 10" She announced as she quickly walked back into her office

"We went to this beautiful field and star gazed, we ended up falling asleep while talking" Spencer quickly murmured to JJ and Luke

"Wait that sounds amazing" JJ watched as Spencer stood from his desk and reached for the go-bag under it "Is she amazing?"

"She's..." Spencer played with his next words carefully "Perfect as far as I can tell"

"Perfect? Sounds like you found the one" Luke smiled

"Technically we just met and we are taking things slow but I can see myself sticking around" Spencer shrugged and walked over with JJ to her own desk

"When can we all officially meet her," Luke asked as he grabbed his own bag

"Mhm" Spencer hummed "Now you are moving too fast"

"Will we ever meet her" Luke walked behind JJ and Spencer out the bullpen and towards the elevator

"Eh" Spencer inhaled deeply "I don't want to rush her or myself into something we aren't ready for"

"That's fine Spence" JJ pressed the elevator button

"I'm happy that you met someone" Luke patted his shoulder and made his way inside the elevator as the doors open

"So are you going to tell her that you will be gone for a couple of days" JJ looked up at Spencer as the doors closed and the elevator began to descend

Spencer gasped when he realized getting Y/n's number slipped his mind. He felt bad, he didn't want to make it seem like he had suddenly ghosted her. He had a great time and wanted to keep seeing her without leaving her hanging each time. "I will make it up to her" he gave JJ a tight lip smiled

Spencer couldn't stop thinking about Y/n. Last night she looked so beautiful under the moonlight and the way she would listen to him, the way she would squeeze his hand whenever she got excited about the topic of conversation, the way her eyelashes fluttered when she would look at him. He hadn't felt those strange butterflies in the pit of his stomach in a while.
