POV TIVELLY

Chapter name: Strangers

"Tivelly! Come on, wake up!" I jolt awake in a cold sweat as Kaiden calls out to me. My body trembles as I look around frantically, kicking and smacking everything around me.

"No! Stop!" I scream, crying as Kaiden grabs my wrists to prevent me from hitting him. "Tivelly... please calm down." He says gently. I lean back on the headrest, Kaiden in front of me, in between my legs as he looks into my eyes.

"I...I'm sorry." I know why he woke me up. I was screaming in my sleep like I've been doing ever since... that night. I stare back into his emerald green eyes, calming down as I realize I'm safe. "Kaiden..." My voice shakes as I say his name.

"What's wrong?" His voice is soft, almost as quiet as a whisper. "Let's... just go back to sleep," I tell him.

He lets my wrists go and lays back in his spot beside me. We both turn over on our sides, facing away from each other. In a few hours, I will have to go back to my hell.

I hope and pray that I can slip away in my sleep. I can't go back to the place I call home.

I roll over onto my left side, keeping my eyes closed as morning light peers in through the window. I listen as I hear two female voices scream at each other and then a door slam. I open my eyes to see the back of Kaiden's head.

I reach out, gently touching his hair as he stirs. "You're creepy." I hear him say before he rolls over to face me. "A h-hair was out of place." I defended myself, glaring at him as I sit up. As soon as I'm up, I can feel the alcohol from last night still swimming in my system.

"Yeah, you should see your hair. You look like a damn lion." He tells me, trying to suppress a laugh. I immediately throw my hands onto my hair, combing it out with my fingers and smoothing it down.

He gets out of bed, immediately going to his closet to get a shirt to wear for the day. "I hate to break it to you, but I need clothes also." I sit up, watching his expression change to annoyance.

"My sisters' room is right next to us. Go grab something out of there." He shrugs.

I awkwardly rise to my feet, leaving his room and going to his sisters' room, swaying with each step. I step into the room and immediately see pictures of her and her friends plastered around the room. She looks like him, but I definitely don't recognize her from school.

I walk towards the closet, skimming through her shirts. I suddenly stop, realizing everything of hers is too small for me to wear.

I walk back into Kaiden's room, glaring at him.

"What?" He asks as he slides a shirt over his head.

"How old is your sister?"

"Like thirteen, I think."

I look at him with an "are you dumb" expression painted on my face. "What?" The moronic fool asks again.

"They are all too... small for me." I put my arms in front of my chest as I watch him start to look for another shirt. "Here." He throws a shirt over his shoulder at me. I catch it and then glare at him. "A black shirt?"

"Yes, ungrateful, now put it on, and you can put your fishnets and boots back on. Perfect unsuspicious school outfit." He rolls his eyes at me with a sarcasm laced in his voice.

I sit in Kaiden's car, staring out the window as I pull the long shirt down to my thighs. He had a good idea with the shirt and fishnets. It really does look like this outfit came from my closet. The only thing suspicious is that I smell like him.
