Jasper leads his bride over to his happily conversing family, glasses of champagne in their hands, obviously for appearances. Emmett is the first to see them as he shuffles Sophia in his arms, handing her over to his wife. "There's the happy couple!" He pulls his new sister-in-law into a hug, lifting her from the ground as they both laugh.

"Emmett, put her down before you hurt her." Esme scolds him softly. Her son rolls his eyes but nonetheless heeds his mother's warning. Mariposa's heels find the ground again and she goes to greet the rest of the Cullens as the matriarch hits his arm at the sight of his eyes disappearing to the back of his head. "Don't roll your eyes at me."

"I'm going to go see my mom. I'll be right back." Mariposa says as she sees Gina conversing with some family members. "And Emmett, quit giving Phia sweets." She looks pointedly at the brute vampire who stops unwrapping a lollipop.

"Come here princess." Jasper chuckles, taking his daughter out of his sister's arms. "Let's see if we can go find something other than sweets to eat."

The groom waves at his family as he walks away. He presses a kiss to his daughter's messy hair, smiling politely at the guests who greet them. His bright gold eyes find his wife laughing and easily conversing with some of her family, and unknowingly he releases a wave of happiness, affecting everyone. Mariposa blinks at feeling and looks around to find Jasper staring at her with a happy glint in his eyes. She blushes when she realizes she's the reason why he let out the sudden happiness.

"Jasper!" A voice calls out, taking the empath's attention off his beloved and over to the two nomads that head towards him and Sophia. He grins when he sees Charlotte and Peter. "It's been so long." Peter pulls him into a hug but is careful since he has Sophia.

"Yes it has, Peter." Jasper pats his back before pulling away and kissing Charlotte's cheek in greeting. "Look Phia, these are papa's friends, Peter and Charlotte." He points at them with the respective name.

Sophia pouts shyly as she gives them a timid wave, hiding her face in her father's neck. She stares intently at them, her main focus being the dark crimson eyes they have. They weren't like her family. But she knows that they aren't a danger. Out of habit, her small hand reaches to gently tug on her father's honey blonde locks, twisting and twirling them between her fingers to keep herself occupied as the adults conversed. Her head drops onto his shoulder after a while, getting bored. Jasper notices this and shuffles her so she's being cradled in his arms in a comfortable position, and starts to tickle her, basking in the joy of hearing her squeals.

"You're a natural for someone who's never had a child." Charlotte says, watching the father interact with his daughter.

Jasper chuckles softly at his friend's statement as he stops tickling his little monster. "Practice makes perfect. You'd be surprised to hear that I wouldn't hold her as a baby because I was scared I'd hurt her. It took a lot of convincing from Mariposa and my family so I could carry her."

"Jasper Whitlock, a Texas major, turned vampire and fought against armies, was scared to hold a baby?" Peter says in astonishment and amusement. "Never thought I'd see the day you were scared to do something so humane."

"Ha ha." Jasper deadpans but a smile twitches at his lips. "You're hilarious."

"I know I am." Peter grins as the others laugh.

Alice's bell-like voice is then heard as she clinks her glass to gather everyone's attention. "It's time for cake!"

Jasper makes his way to his beloved's side, placing a kiss to Mariposa's cheek, the flashes of cameras going off as he does. She blushes at his affection as she takes her baby from his arms, allowing him to take the knife and smoothly cut the cake, earning cheers from the big family. Jasper feeds his wife the piece of red velvet with vanilla cream, getting some on her cheek when he moves his hand at the last second. The brunette shakes her head with a cheeky grin as she lets her daughter smother her hands into the slice of cake. The next thing he knows, Sophia is clapping her hands on either side of his cheeks, laughter erupting from the crowd.

"Nice one, my little monster." He plucks Sophia from her mother's arms, resting her on his hip as he leans down and captures Mariposa's lips. She smiles against him before pulling away when she hears Emmett's teasing.

The small family moves away as they allow the waiters to serve the cake to the guests. Mariposa holds a napkin in her hand as she wipes away the dessert from her husband's face, a look of concentration covering her features. "I haven't seen your cousins from Alaska." She speaks suddenly. "Could they not make it?"

Jasper frowns at the mention of the Denali coven and their absence at their wedding. "Irina didn't want to come. She didn't want to be near the people who killed Laurent." He hesitantly says after a moment of silence and thinking.

Mariposa pauses her movements for a short minute before continuing her task. "Oh." Is all she says.

"It's not your fault." The empath immediately tells her. "Irina is just upset. I'm sure you and Phia will get to meet them at Edward and Bella's wedding."

"Of course." His wife says, a smile spreading on her lips. She didn't want to dwell on the negativity. This day is supposed to be the happiest day of her life and so, she'll let it go, deciding it isn't important to be upset over it.

The rest of the evening continues as is. Dances are shared by everyone, slow and upbeat. Pictures taken left and right as photographers try to capture every moment so the couple have remembrance of their day. Though they could never forget this day as it's the day they became one with each other forever. And by the end of it, everyone is either mentally or emotionally exhausted from either laughing too much or by drinking too much alcoholic beverages.

Mariposa giggles softly as Jasper twirls her, her dress flowing out around her. He swiftly pulls her back into his chest, swaying them side to side as they slowly dance. She rests her head on his chest comfortably, sighing gently. He places his head on top of hers, peaceful looks on their faces as around them the guests stare at them with joyful or tearful expressions, soft murmurs coming from them. There's also the sound of a camera shuttering every few minutes but they pay no mind to it.

They're in their own little bubble.
