As the days go by and Bella and Edward were enjoying their honeymoon, everything was perfect—if you could even get perfect with a family full of supernatural people. Matei and Bree had decided to go to Canada for a couple of days, but besides that everything else was okay. Sophia squeals with laughter as Jasper catches her after lightly throwing her in the air, his own chuckles leaving him.

Mariposa smiles at her husband and daughter while sitting on a bench, ignoring the stares coming from the parents at the park. They had gone to Seattle to escape the gossip but it seems wherever they went, it always follows. Jasper sits down next to her after letting the toddler run off to play, the empath wraps his arm around his wife, pulling her closer to him and kissing her head tenderly.

Mariposa smiles at his affection, her honey brown eyes watching their child with careful eyes, not letting her out of her sight. The little girl has a large smile on her face as she climbs the rockwall and pulls herself onto the platform with effortless movements. She's careful not to overuse or show her dhampir abilities as she's around humans and not her family. Sophia quickly disappears around the playground, finding more things to entertain herself with.

"Darling, what do you think about another baby?" Jasper's question throws Mariposa off guard, her breath getting stuck in her throat.

"You want another baby?" Mariposa asks, turning to look at him with her brows furrowed in curiosity. He's looking back at her with hopeful eyes and a small smile. Jasper has been wanting to ask his beloved about having more kids but he didn't want her to think that she had to just because he was asking, since it's her body and her decision whether or not she does want more.

"I do." He answers. "You don't have to agree but I do want to know your thoughts about it." He threads their fingers together.

Mariposa flutters her eyes around as she ponders on the thought. She knows that this conversation is long overdue between them but she really hasn't given the thought about more kids since after her miscarriage, fearing the same thing will happen if she gets pregnant again. It's always been her dream to have a big family, even if she began one at the mere age of fifteen. She was of course glad and grateful to have Sophia but the thought of losing another baby like Adrian just throws her off the thoughts.

"Honestly, Jazz, I'm not sure if I want another baby." She says softly as she looks back up at him to see staring at her patiently. "I would love to have more kids with you and have this big family but it's just. . . with losing Adrian and the thought that it could happen again, just makes me think that I won't be able to give you more kids, that I'm useless."

Jasper frowns at her words, especially when she called herself useless. She's anything but that. "Mari, you're not useless. Just because we, you, lost Adrian does not mean that it could happen again. It's a possibility, yes, but it's rare. If anything, we could try and see where we go from there."
