The wood clashes with the tree branch harshly, breaking into tiny little pieces that scatter among the ground. Another piece of wood rises into the air, the person in control of it throws her arm out forcefully as she launches it into the tree. Mariposa doesn't bat an eye at the harsh sound resonating around the silent forest, only going back to let her frustration out. Her hand curls around the invisible grip she has over the material, the wind blowing back her hair when she throws the wood too hard at the branch.

Inside the glass home, the occupants try their best to ignore the sounds but it's proven useless as Emmett chuckles at the sight of his sister-in-law taking her anger. Edward shakes his head at his brother's typical antics, his amber eyes set on his wife who sleeps on the couch she's been on since they've returned from their honeymoon.

"For someone so small, Mari has a lot of anger in her." Emmett says, gleefully watching through the window as Mariposa engulfs a tree in fire, soon disappearing into nothing but ash.

"You don't even know half of it." Matei speaks up from where he sits in the armchair, flipping through a book without reading the words inside. He picks his head up with a grin on his face, eyes set on a now worried looking Edward, no doubt his reaction of reading through the Covaci boy's mind. "Trust me."

"I'm taking your word for it." Emmett says, entertained with Mariposa's ability to destroy everything in her path when she's pissed off.

Edward suddenly walks onto the balcony, disrupting his brother's commentary. He calls for his best friend who joins his side within a second, her hand wrapping around his elbow when she feels his multitude of emotions. Jacob appears at the tree line, Seth trailing behind him. Mariposa straightens at the sight of the Black boy back not even thirty minutes after his departure.

"Be ready." Jacob says, meeting everyone's ears. "They're coming for Bella." His eyes drift over to the brunette standing at the vampire's side, it's obvious he has more words but keeps them to himself.

"They're not going to touch her." Edward replies in monotone.

"Agreed." Jacob nods before taking off back into the forest.

Soon, everyone but Rosalie, Seth, Leah, and Elliot, either sit or stand in a vacant room of the Cullen's home. Jasper holds Mariposa's hand as his chest touches her shoulder, the empath staring pointedly at Jacob who begins explaining the situation to the Cullens. "Sam's lost the element of surprise, and he doesn't want to take you on outnumbered, so he's not gonna come at you head on. He's got the place surrounded and he'll wait for his opportunity."

Jasper feels his wife's anger slowly rising once again, and squeezes her hand in a silent way of telling her to calm down.

Emmett crosses his arms, his eyes set on the Black boy. "We won't get through without a fight." He states.

"No fights." Carlisle tells his son and everyone else. "We won't be the ones to break the treaty." He shakes his head.

"The treaty's void. At least in Sam's mind." Jacob tells them.
