{Y/N's POV}

"I'm going to miss you two," I said, hugging Lily and Molly. Tears streamed down my face. I didn't know if this was going to be our last hug so I cherished it.

"Don't cry, Y/N," Lily said. "It's only for two weeks."

I laughed and dried my tears.

"Yes I know," I said and sniffed.

We had just got off the train at King's Cross Station on platform 9 3/4. Lily and Molly's parents were waiting in their cars for them.

"Are you sure you'll be ok at the orphanage?" Molly asked. "My room has an extra bunk."

"Yeah. Besides, I'll have Tom to keep me company at the orphanage. We also miss the little kids," I lied. Especially about "missing the little kids". I hated the guilty feeling about lying to them, but I couldn't put them at risk. They were the sisters I never had.

"Ok, but owl us if anything happens or anytime you want," Lily said.

"Don't worry, I will."

"When will your caretaker arrive?" Molly asked, concerned.

"Ms. Feathers is always late, but she'll show up. Eventually," I said with a small laugh.

After we bid our goodbyes, they left. I waved goodbye to them until they were out of sight then looked around for Tom, but he found me first and grabbed my hand. He swiftly pulled me behind a column just in time before I got run over by a large cart. I bumped into his chest and quickly moved away. He gave me a strange look for a second.

"You ready?" he asked.

"Yes."

I closed my eyes then he grabbed my other hand and apparated back to Hogwarts. Dumbledore had taught us how to apparate in class a few days ago, but it was really just a trick for Tom and I to learn. Tom didn't know anything about Dumbledore and my conversation, so he figured it was just a normal lesson.

We ended up in the Slytherin common room. Almost everything was green. It was cleaner and more organized than the Gryffindor common room. There weren't even any paintings.

Tom and I stood next to each other hand in hand

Tom and I stood next to each other hand in hand. It was eerily quiet.

"I think we're alone now," Tom said.

Tom said it in a weird way. He sounded rather excited for some reason.

"The Slytherin common room is neater than I thought I would be," I confessed.

"There are enchantments to keep the room this way," Tom said.

I nodded, slightly impressed. I suddenly yawned, signaling I was tired.

"It's late, we should get some sleep," Tom said.

"Yeah. We should," I agreed.

We stood there awkwardly looking at our feet.
