7 ~ Encounter

I found out Yuji was alive about two weeks ago. Every other day I would visit him for about an hour. He would tell me what he's accomplished and I'd tell him what I've done.

He told me about 'Mt. Fuji head' and that Gojo has icy-blue eyes. I've tried multiple times to remove his blindfold, but I never can. I often pout afterward.

Today was one of the days I got to see Yuji. I was excited because I was gonna do a face mask with him.

Nobara, Fushiguro, and I were getting drinks for our senpais.

I was leaning against the wall wearing grey joggers, a black sleeveless hoodie, and my normal black mask.

Nobara pressed the buttons for the vending machine.

"Couldn't they put in a few more vending machines?" she Complained.

"They can't. There are only so many workers who can come in here." Fushiguro explained.

"Yeah...but like... none of these have coffee. It's disappointing." I complained.

"Who are they?" Nobara asked.

"Who?" I turned my head. At the end of the hall was a familiar-faced girl and a boy with a man bun.

"What are you doing here Ze'nin-Senpai?" Fushiguro asked.

"Oh, she's one too? They do seem similar." Nobara noticed.

"Are they sisters? Her and Maki-senpai?" I asked.

"They're twins."

"Don't call me that, Fushiguro-Kun. You make me sound the same as Maki. Call me Mai."

I walked behind Fushiguro. I slightly hid behind his arm. There was something about her I didn't like.

"So these are the Pinch hitters for Okkostu and the third-years?" The man bun asked.

"We came here with the principal because we were worried about you two. But I didn't know there would be a third one." She smirked. "Your classmate died, right? Was that rough? Or did you think nothing of it?" Mai began.

I took a step forward from behind Fushiguro. My aura darkened. She was talking about my 'dead' best friend. However, before I could do anything Fushiguro put an arm in front of me. "What are you trying to say?" I asked, about to commit a crime.

"It's okay. Some things are hard to say out loud. So I'll say it for you. 'Vessel' makes it sound nice, but it just means he was a half-curse monster." I unconsciously grabbed the sleeve of Fushiguro's jacket. "Having such a tainted, inhuman being beside you brazenly calling himself a jujutsu sorcerer must have been revolting, right? Aren't you feeling better now that he's dead?"

Her taunting words rolled around my head. I didn't notice my free hand was clenched. My eyes were glued to the grey tile. 'Vessel' 'half-curse monster' 'tainted, inhuman'. I was in such a daze I didn't notice my hand started bleeding. The blood wasn't falling onto the floor instead it was forming into a shape. I began shaking as blood continued to be drawn from my body. I stared at Mai with blood-lust filling my eyes.

'Is this how people view my best-friend? Maybe I should show he's not the monster..but instead, the girl standing right in front of them.'

I let go of Fushiguro's Jacket and attempted to attack Mai, but Fushiguro grabbed onto my waist stopping me.

"Fushiguro. Let me go." I said in a threatening tone.

"No." his grip on me tightened. Frustrated tears formed in my eyes.
