Taehyung sauntered down the hallway with a blithe smile on his lips as he was in a rather good mood despite that he just finished one of his everyday business classes he loathed. After the bathroom incident five days ago with the caramel-haired boy, he was able to write three chapters effortlessly, and all that just because of his hug.
And now he had to focus on the kiss scene so he could connect it with the other chapters he had already written.
He fished a piece of paper out of his pocket and took a look at the list of names he had jotted down with Jimin’s help. These were the names of potential guys he could make out with if they agreed to his request, and since Jimin knew them, he didn’t have anything to worry about.
He approached the first guy on the list, and although it was always a nerve-racking process, he stifled his anxious outburst and politely explained to him what he was seeking.
To his disappointment, the boy turned him down by saying he already had his eyes on someone else and didn’t want to ruin that. Taehyung thanked him nonetheless and offered him a broad smile before he took off to search for the next guy.
His cheerful mood seemed to wither as the boy refused to make out with him as well without giving him a specific reason, and his smile switched to a pout along his way to the third guy on the list.
This should be easy! Why are they turning me down like that? This thought flashed up into his head the moment the next guy declined his request.
He spotted the fourth and last guy on his list, but halted abruptly when he noticed him standing just a little further away from Jeongguk’s locker, and the latter was currently there as well, organizing his locker.
He didn’t know how things between them were, to be honest. While they should be even a fraction closer by now, Jeongguk kept his distance and didn’t allow himself to open up to him again or Taehyung to ramble about whatever either.
He didn’t even let him touch him again, although Taehyung tried to hug him once. He had simply curled his arm around his shoulders, but the boy just shrank away from his touch without a word.
He couldn’t say things between them were awkward after that, but they were definitely weird. Jeongguk was weird in general after the bathroom incident, and Taehyung honestly had enough. He couldn’t deal with his mood swings anymore or pester him every day to tell him why he acted the way he did. So he decided to let him be and focus on his writing and his friends he loved so much.
He swallowed any fragment of nervousness and proceeded, his eyes transfixed on his target, even though he could sense someone stare him down harder and harder the more he neared the boy.
“Uh, hi. Do you have a moment?”
He swiftly sized him up as he locked his locker and turned to face him. “Hello. I don’t think we’ve met.”
“No, we haven’t. I’m Kim Taehyung.” He stretched his arm for a handshake, and the other accepted it a second later.
“Sun Inwon.”
Taehyung gave a timid smile as he retracted his hand. “I know this is random, but I’m a writer and I want to experience things before turning them into words because it helps me understand the feelings a certain action contains better.”
The boy listened with wrinkled brows, intrigued by his words. “Okay. What do you need?”
“I was hoping we could, you know, make out?”
From furrowed, Inwon’s brows popped apart in astonishment as a surprised chuckle emitted from his mouth. “You want to make out with me? You? With me?”
