"And that's it for today. Thank you for your cooperation, your highness." the minister of Accounts bowed while I gave him a nod of acknowledgement.
"It was a pleasure working with you minister. I shall be on my way." I replied in a formal tone.
"Oh yes of course. Blessings and glory on the star of Obelia."
I turned and made my way to my room through the bustling crowd of maids and butlers.
A lot had changed in these past 10 months.
After the new rule regarding the female heir had come into play, my schedule had gotten a lot hectic for a 15-year-old.
I only went to the Academy once in two weeks and the rest of the time, I was dealing with nobles who tried to test my position as a heir of the throne.
Fred was equally busy, trying to stay ahead of me in this race, which was proving to be quite easy for him.
Fred was extremely smart for a 15-year-old and being a boy gave him an automatic advantage over me.
But that was going to change next month.
Because next month is the hunting competition in Peruka.
It is held near the Rogue forest which is known to have dark creatures looming in. Once they increase in number, Peruka announces an international hunting competition for princes and high nobles all around the globe to kill them before those beasts move out of the forest and in their empire.
Every empire sends two or more representatives for the competition to raise their fame.
And it's quite obvious that Fred's not going to participate. Leaving me a chance to get in the lead.
Females are not allowed to participate but since I'm friends with the host Empire's crown prince, I'm going to take advantage of that and participate.
Speaking of Roman, I haven't been in contact with him for a long time.
After the news regarding the new rule in Obelia spread around the other empires, Roman stopped contacting me for a while. He directly wrote in the communication book after a month of ghosting on me and his letters were not as long as they used to be.
He probably realized that he no longer has a chance with me and is focusing more on his empire.
I entered my room and plopped face first on the bed.
