💙 Requested Lucifer x Reader - Home 💙

Summary: Reader is back in the human world and is missing Lucifer. Their mind kept replaying that night in the gardens. He was trying to tell them something, but never got the chance to finish. Nice fluffy oneshot. <3

Lucifer and I strolled through the gardens arms linked together. It was just us two and I couldn't be more happy, it was rare for us to get some peace and quiet. It was always the usual chaos with the rest of the six brothers. 

Don't get me wrong, I loved them deeply, they were like a family to me, but to have Lucifer all alone was very special. I wanted to make every second count with him. 

We both walked at a comfortable pace, enjoying the spacious garden and taking in the beautiful landscape. I then felt a larger hand grasp mine gently. I looked up to find Lucifer with a determined expression. I looked around for any sign of the brothers, but no one was in sight. 

Lucifer pulled me towards the nearest bench and we sat down. Our knees brushed against one another and our shoulders were pressed together.

"Y/N?" 

"Yes, Lucifer?" I blushed at how close we were sitting. 

"There's something..I've been meaning to tell you." His expression became flustered for a moment before he directed his dark eyes towards me. 

I paused waiting for him to continue. My mind and heart began to race. Is he going to say that he likes me too?  I wasn't a very brave person. Therefore, I couldn't bring myself to ever confess to Lucifer on how I felt about him. There were times where I honestly felt he might have found me to be annoying. Our relationship didn't start out in the best of ways, it developed gradually. When I earned Lucifer's trust, he began to want to spend more time with me and opened up more. I thought what I felt for him was just a small crush, yet the feeling remained and grew stronger. 

I was in love with Lucifer.

However, there was nothing I could do now. My time in Devildom has come to an end and I am to return to the human realm. I tried to distract myself from the sadness of this reality, but my thoughts kept drifting back to remind me. I just put on a smile hoping no one would realize how much this was affecting me. 

"Y/N, I've falle-" Lucifer began.

"Y/N! Lucifer! It's time, Lord Diavolo is ready to say farewell!" Asmo ran up to us and decided to latch onto me.

I watched as Lucifer's brows drew together, dangerously glaring at his younger brother. Until his eyes darkened and he looked away with a disheartened expression. 

I sighed in sadness and felt anxiety build in my stomach. I couldn't escape leaving no matter how much I wanted to. The first moment I got here, all I wanted was to desperately go back home. That changed when I formed strong bonds with all the brothers, especially Lucifer. I've made so many close friends here in Devildom and everyday brought with it a new adventure. Any thoughts of the human realm were long forgotten. I had gained a new home and family instead. 

I was happy here. 

Asmo made to walk me back inside R.A.D., but Lucifer called out and declared he would escort me back.

Wrapping an arm around my shoulders he looked down at me. His eyes held a number of different emotions. I must have been easy to read because he brushed his thumb against my cheek and hugged me tight.
