SUMMARY to say that kamila chang and georgia miller were practically the same person would be an understatement but that's why they were meant for eachother.
Kamila has lived in cities like New York and Seoul but settled in Welsbury just under a decade ago when her cousin in law gets murdered by her flesh and blood and she has to raise her Niece far away from the man she considered family.
Kamila has known Calista , her goddaughter since the womb and when her cousin, Korain married his late wife Hannah the two instantly grew close, practically became sisters. Kamila being an only child restricted her from experiences with directly biological siblings so her cousins and their families were her closest people to siblings.
Korain and Hannah were thought to have been the perfect couple with their daughter Calista.
Key word thought. Unaware to everyone on both sides, Korain was abusive towards Hannah. Physically, verbally. Her constantly came home drunk and would hit Hannah whenever he got the chance too.
There were times where she tried to reach out for help but Korain would always divert or interfere with them.
Until one day when Kamila walked in on one of their moments, luckily Calista wasn't home but at daycare. He smelled of alchohol and she could feel the rage radiating off of him. So she did what she thought was right.
She acted in the moment and tried to pull him off her, which resulted in him almost strangling Kamila to death, but once he realized that he was strangling the woman that was practically a sister to him he tried to calm down.
It was too late while trying to escape Hannah was stabbed by Korain before he was hit in the head by Kamila with Calista's baseball bat, knocking him unconscious. Korain survived...but Hannah didn't, she died in Kamila's arm
Kamila lost her best friends that day but made a promise to protect their daughter.
Kamila and Georgia both come from rocky family backgrounds and both with the same intentions for their families.
To keep them safe at all costs.
That's how they spotted out eachother in the first place. They felt the same fire radiating from eachother.
And what happens when fire meets fire, it burns even more and fires usually causes chaos.
To Kamila who just got over a long relationship while raising her goddaughter and Geogia who moved to Welsbury after killing her last one for a fresh start with her children, it takes time for the two destined soulmates to meet.
But in the small town of Welsbury, anything is possible.

- hannah and kamila had known eachother for 10 years before she was killed and they were really close.
- hannah's death took a toll on kamila and it still is to this day
- Calista is played by paris Berelc and she is 15 turning 16
- Calista was about 3 when her mom died
- Kamila hasn't told her what actually happened to Korain and Hannah, she says that her father went to prison because of a misunderstanding and that her mother died in a car accident
- Kamila has had trust issues ever since Koraine
- Kamila is Welsbury's main doctor ( best way to word it hehe)
- Kamila is about 33
- she's also bi
- Georgia ends up asking Kamila on a date ( that she's surprisingly nervous for ) because she's used to the men not women
- Kamila and Georgia are kind of a slow burn but also best friends to lovers
- Georgia falls first because she realizes that she gets extremely happy and nervous around Kamila and vice versa
- eventually they both open up to eachother about everything ( Georgia's real name included )
- Kamila admits that she wishes that she killed Korain that day
- round about the same time that Georgia comes, Kamila starts getting letters and messages from Korain's friends that are threats
- oh yeah Korain is stuck in prison for life ( lol I kinda want him to escape

- oh and Hannah and Kamila were best friends ( met in med school ) that's why her death is haunting her
