Round 6 - Chapter 1 - A Stormy Evening

Y/N'S POV

It was a rainy and cold evening in Vale, the streets were all but abandoned as I roamed them. Everyone was couped up inside, it being quite stormy. I didn't mind the storm, there was something about weather like this that I enjoy, that makes me feel safe. I was just getting back from the store to get some items after I forgot to restock yesterday, talked with the store owner for a while.

The store owner, Jerry, was a pretty cool guy. We chatted about each other's day and opened some lottery cards, neither of us had any luck...as per usual...

A couple of idiots came into the store as we talked, they tried to negotiate a deal with Jerry to get some Soda for much cheaper. After some laughable offers, Jerry just kicked them out. After that some woman came into the store and after browsing for a bit complained to Jerry loudly, she was pissed because she couldn't find the latest issue of some dumb magazine, she kept demanding to speak to his manager so Jerry handled it the only way possible...took out his spray and sprayed till she sprinted out.

Despite this kind of shit happening on a regular basis Jerry still continues to run the store, for him it's just become life. There have been some times where he has considered selling the store and doing something with fewer annoyances but in the end he always changes his mind and keeps it, good for me as it means I do not have to go into any of those big bullshit stores.

We continued talking for a while before I left, the weather still as bad as when I entered, the sky completely covered by dark clouds. I could have taken my car if I wasn't in the middle of tuning up the engine, so the old Buick will have to stay in the garage till I'm done.

Now I was looking forward to getting home and in my bed, then I can just wrap myself into my blankets and chill as I watch my favorite streamer Weissjgk434, she's gonna stream some Portal 2 today.

I stopped when I saw some dog growling at something in an alleyway, it was acting as if there was something hostile. Confused I walk into the alley, amongst some trash was a woman lying there, soaked by the rain.

I shoo the dog away from her and quickly rush up, I check her pulse, and luckily she had one, as I touch her shoulder she weakly opens her eyes and looks at me.

Y/N: "Ma'am can you hear me?"

She tried to say something but only a few coughs came out before she slumped over, looking her over I see that her clothes are dirty and torn up, there are bloodstains and I could see wounds through the holes.

I look around the alleyway but see no traces of what could have happened here, aside from blood underneath her right thigh I don't see any blood around, no signs of a fight either.

...What happened to her?
