35 weeks.

I'm thirty-five weeks pregnant, two weeks from my due date and no one has heard from Charlie since he disappeared after killing my grandfather.

Bill and Fleur welcomed their daughter this month and named her Victoire.

That means that technically I'm an aunt. I mean... Charlie and I never married, but we were engaged before he went missing so I'd like to think of myself as aunt Ember.

I was already an aunt before. Aunt Ember to niece Amber.

I still laugh at how similar my name is to my niece.

We're in January. We just entered a new century. We're in 2000 now. I entered a new century without Charlie by my side.

That hurts.

I met him, I befriended him, I fell in love with him, I had my heart broken by him, I got pregnant, then engaged to him... we went through so much but that was all in the 20th century and now we're in the 21st century.

It's weird.

I miss him.

I miss him a lot.

I still live at the Burrow. I live here with Molly and Arthur. They're letting me stay for as long as I need.

I'm pregnant, two weeks from my due date... I'm having twins, I've never done this before, I don't have Charlie, I currently don't have a relationship to my father so Molly and Arthur are letting me stay because I'm scared.

I can't do it alone. I can't raise twins on my own... at least not at first. I need help with it. If it had been just Charlie and I... if he was still here, it would have been fine, but it's not.

I think he's dead.

I don't want it to be true, but that's what I think.

When I think about it, I feel completely numb. I haven't really cried... not much, just a little.

He promised to be back, but he never did. He disappeared on my birthday.

The worst part was passing his twenty-seventh birthday without him here. We still celebrated it but Molly broke down crying and Arthur excused himself to the shed.

Bill and I helped each other clean out the table but neither of us had said a word to each other while we did.

George was sat back at the table with Ron, Ginny, Percy, Fleur, Harry and Hermione.

"Ember, dear!" Molly called just as I left Charlie's room where I was still staying.

As I walked down the stairs, I saw Romany. My younger brother who was way taller than me.

He was wearing a big smile and as soon as I reached the end of the stairs, he hurried over and hugged me.

"Woah." I chuckled, hugging him back. "Are you alright?"

"He's awake." He said as he pulled away again, wiping his cheeks from happy tears. "Brazier woke up this morning."

My eyes widened and I clamped a hand over my mouth, shocked at what he was telling me.

"He's going to live... he's never gonna walk again, but he's going to live."

What...

"What do you mean he's never going to walk again?"

Romany sighed.

"Something happened either when it happened or during coma... he's paralysed from the waist and down."
