Chapter 15

"Y/N! What are you doing here!!?"

Before I could look at her I heard shuffling and whispers coming from inside. 'She's always lived alone why was there noises coming from inside? I'm probably hearing things.' I looked at my aunt and there was something off about her. She had a scared expression that turned into a nervous smile. She didn't give off the same vibe she did when I was younger. I held Shoto's hand as I was actually scared.

Before I could sign something she pulled me into an hug. My head was turned facing Shoto and I think he read my mind as to how scared I was. "Y/N. Why are you here?" She asked me. 'It's about my parents.' I signed to her hoping that she would understand. Her nervous smile turned into a worried expression. 'They went on a business trip and when I call they won't pick up' I signed to her moving closer to Shoto. "Your parents? Ohh yeah- they told me how they were going on the business trip, but they didn't tell me where they went.." She said and then nervously laughed

Shoto shoved my aunt to the side and grabbed my hand and walked inside the house. "WAIT NO!" My aunt screamed at us. His hand was burning because of his quirk and how angry he was. The house was all messy, when it was usually so clean. My grip tightened on Shoto's hand when I saw what looked like blood. My eyes widened as it was 100% blood. My eyes started watering because I knew my aunt wasn't like this at all.

Everything was so out of place. There was broken glass on the ground and a picture of me that was also broken. Everything was dim, there was barely any light, it smelled so bad like something was rotting. We kept on exploring trying to find where the rotting smell came from. We were lead upstairs to a locked door. By now there was tears were pouring out of my face. I made a lockpick with my illusions and handed it to Shoto. I had no clue how to work a lock pick so I hoped Shoto knew.

The door was unlocked now. I made the lockpick vanish. I really didn't want to open the door at all. "Y/N. I'm gonna open the door now." He said to me. I was still crying my life out but I hesitantly nodded. He turned the knob and looked at me. We both nodded in union. He pushed the door open and there was blood everywhere. I looked around the room and finally saw something in the corner.

Two people. Covered in blood. And were dead.

"NOOOOOOOOOOO" I screamed out with no voice. "NO! NO! NOOOO!" I screamed out again though there was no voice. Both my parents were in front of me covered in blood. And were dead. I slammed my fist on the ground multiple times and I didn't care if it hurt or it was bleeding. I wished I was dreaming. I wanted my aunt to hear the pain in my scream, I wanted her to feel guilty of what she did, I just wanted my parents back. Shoto was next to me, I was about to slam my fist into the ground again but he stopped me. "Don't do that." He said.

I just fell into his arms, I didn't care about the world around me anymore, I just wanted it to stop, I just wanted my parents back. My aunt walked in the room. Shoto froze her body except for her head. "I didn't want to kill them. Ripper threatened to kill me if I didn't" She spit out. "DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH YOU HURT HER" Shoto yelled at her. She gave a psychotic laugh. "They shouldn't have left the poor girl alone anywa-" I made a pole out of my illusions and smacked her in the head....HARD.

She was now unconscious I got up and grabbed Shoto's hand and ran outside the room. I didn't care how badly my stabbed leg was hurting, I didn't care if my clothes were stained with blood, I just wanted to get out. We ran out the front door of my aunts house and ran to some alleyway. I sat down on the ground with my back bracing some brick wall. I was breathing heavy and trying to process everything that just happened. 'I walked in my aunts house, she looked suspicious about something, we barged into the house, we went upstairs, lockpicked the door, and my parents are dead'

I started crying again knowing I would never get to see my parents again. While I was thinking and crying Shoto bent down to me and hugged me. I shoved my face into his neck because I was so confused on what to do now. 'How are we going to get home, our clothes are so bloody, I also have school to worry abou-' "Stop thinking so much. You have me here right? Calm down." Shoto whispered into my ear. His voice calmed me down a little more.

I broke the hug and signed 'How are we going to get home? Our clothes are all bloody' "We will figure out a plan. Don't worry." He told me. There was a long silence. 'Wait I got a plan. I can make illusion clothes for now, and then buy new clothes so that no one will see the blood.' I signed to him actually satisfied with my plan. "That will work" after he said that I made clothes that covered the bloody ones.

We both got up and started walking to some store. I found one that was called 'Jamie's Fashion Plus'. We walked in the store and looked at some clothing. I didn't care about how it looked on me, I just needed new clothes. I found a black sweater and some matching sweatpants. They weren't expensive at all. Shoto also found some sweater and pants.
"You good?" He asked. I nodded and we went to the cashier. She scanned the clothes one by one. "14 dollars" he said. I took out my 30 dollars and payed him.

I took the bag of clothes and left the store. We walked to a cafe and changed in the bathroom. We were now sitting on a bench trying to understand what to do next."Okay, now we need to find the train station." He said to me. The tickets we bought was a two way ticket so we were okay. My leg started stinging again and there was a lot of blood visible on the bandage. Shoto saw me in pain and said "I'll give you a piggy back ride. C'mon." I was actually really tired so I got on his back. He started walking to the train station using his phone's GPS. I felt my vision going black after we started walking for a few minutes. Soon after I fell asleep.

I woke up and tried to understand my surroundings. Then everything flashed back one by one. How my parents were dead, how my aunt is still alive, how Ripper is the one who did all this. I turned my head to the side and saw Shoto. I smiled at him and he smiled back. I looked at the window and understood that we were on a train. "You fell asleep when I was walking to the train station, you looked very peaceful while sleeping" he told me. I blushed and mouthed thank you.

"We're actually 5 minutes away. You slept for most of the time" he chuckled. I nodded with a smile. I thought about my parents again and my smile faded into a frown. "It's okay. You have me and that's enough for now" I smiled knowing that he is always there when I need him. Our stop arrived and we both walked out the train. I checked my mini bag and checked if I had everything. I took out the waterbottle and drank out of it. We started walking home. We passed the blossom trees again and after a while of walking we finally reached home.

We walked in and I collapsed on the couch. I wasn't tired, it was that my legs hurt so much. We were practically walking all day. Shoto sat on the couch and I fixed my position into a sitting one. 'It's funny how we went on that entire trip just to find that my parents were dead' I chuckled to myself without any sound "Well if we didn't go, you would have found out another way anyway." He told me. "Knowing Ripper, he would have probably let you know they were dead in another way" I sighed and a tear fell off my face. 'We can't do anything about it now' I signed to him.

"I'm gonna make something to eat if you don't mind" he said. I nodded at him and he got off the couch. I went from sitting to lying down on the couch and fell asleep soon after.
