I chuckled. "No way... "

"What?" Allison asked.

"You see him?" I asked, pointing to the tall guy who had taken his helmet off. "That's Mr. Lahey's son. I didn't know he played lacrosse."

"Maybe he was substituted," Allison thought aloud. "Scott said one of their guys got injured."

"Maybe... but he was never on the bench," I said, still looking at him.

"Well, thanks to you staring like a creep, he's coming this way," Allison said quickly. I turned to her and she had run down the bleachers. I was going after her, but on the last step, he came in front of me.

He smirked. "Look who's staring now."

I chuckled nervously. "I, uh, didn't know you played."

"Coach needed an extra person, asked me to step in," Issac explained. "I was kicked off because my grades weren't exactly the best before the season. I got a D in chemistry."

"Well, if you had Harris, I don't expect anyone to like his class. If it, um, makes you feel a bit better, I have a C in his class."

I chuckled seeing him smile. "It definitely makes me better knowing I have an A."

I then noticed his eye was bruised. I said nothing, however, knowing he didn't want to talk about it.

"I heard about your friend, by the way," he said. "Lydia Martin. Police said her tracks led them at the cemetery."

"Yeah, Olivia told me," I responded. "Olivia's my guardian. She gives me updates."

"I hope she's found- "

"We all do." Lucas put an arm around my shoulder, glancing at me then Issac. "Come on, I gotta talk to you."

"Hey," Issac said before we left. "If you ever need a tutor... "

"I'll ask," I smiled.

We walked away and got into one of the halls. He trapped me between the wall and him and he took my hands.

"What did you want to talk about?" I asked.

"Nothing... just... how about a date after school?" he asked.

"Lucas, sorry, but Lydia... I can't go out tonight," I told him in the kindest and sweetest voice I could make. He was already mad. Ever since he got scratched, he seemed different. But I knew he wasn't a werewolf since the scars didn't heal.

"One night," he said. "Please? Can't I spend some time with my girlfriend?"

"You can spend some time with your girlfriend after we find Lydia?" He backed away. "Lucas, you can't tell me to drop my friend who's missing."

"I'm not telling you to drop her," he snarled. "I want to have my girlfriend back."

"Your girlfriend was always here," I argued. "Okay, I get we only see each other in school, but I've got a lot of things going on- "

"Like hanging out with Stiles?" he interrupted. His anger was fueled by jealousy. "Or Scott? Especially now he's single."

"Okay, they may have broken up but they still like each other," I defended. "I would never betray Allison like that. And Stiles has his eye on Lydia. Why do you think he spent the whole weekend in the hospital outside her door?"

"Were you with him?" he asked. "That why you know?"

"I know because I visited Lydia almost every day!" I exclaimed. "Stop being such an ass!"
