I was researching the internment camps in California. I was trying to find Oak Creek, some sign that it was there. I looked at maps of California, had tabs on the internment camps. News stories, some documentaries. There was Gila River, Poston, Manzanar, and Tule Lake. I couldn't believe it wasn't there.

Allison had shared the voicemail with me. I had it translated word for word, with great difficulty. Still barely knew what it meant.

I sighed, leaning back onto my bed. I checked my phone again. Alex had gone to the hospital to check on Stiles. They were doing some tests on him. Whatever Scott said, it didn't seem good.

The door opened. I sat up and grabbed the dagger on my bedside. Issac put his hands up in surrender. I sighed, putting the dagger down as I said, "What are you doing here? Why didn't you call or text?"

"Least I used the door?" he said, walking towards me. "I heard you were doing some research... "

"Does my bed look like a place of insanity?" I chuckled lightly.

"Stiles is gonna be fine. I mean, he was always a bit odd that one," he said in an attempt to comfort me. "So, what's this research?"

"Allison had this weird voicemail." I played the recording.

He frowned, crossing his arms as he sat, thinking. "Yeah, I got nothing from that."

"It's Japanese," I explained. "It's instructions from a soldier at one of the internment camps from the second world war, Oak Creek. Problem is that there is no Oak Creek."

"So then what's this for?" he asked.

"Just... the recording and the voice. Mr. Yukimura said it's fake," I explained. "It can't be. It doesn't sound fake. It sounds old... I don't know."

"Maybe you need a break," he said, moving the laptop aside. "I notice that when something is on your mind, you don't really stop thinking about it until you figure it out. Breathe, Lu, okay? Breath. Relax... "

"I should just go back- "

"Do you need me to help you relax?" he questioned. "I can help with that."

He cupped my face and leaned in, kissing me. I kissed him back, then moments later, he pulled away.

"What a way to kiss someone," I murmured.

"Did it work?" he asked, pulling further away.

I took in a deep breath and exhaled. "No... "

"No?" He leaned in again, this time kissing my neck. "Still not working?" he asked, then pulled me closer towards him. I exhaled, then inhaled sharply. He looked back at me.

"I'm pretty sure this is a tactic now," I said, steadying my breaths.

"Only if it's working... Is it working?" he asked.

"Yeah... " I leaned into him. I hoisted my leg over to his other side, straddling him. He pulled me closer to him and he started sucking on the skin between my neck and shoulder.

A phone started to ring. We ignored it at first, but then it rang again. We pulled away from each other, catching our breaths.
