Chapter 36 - Reunion

"Rukiye Sidharth", Sana said holding his wrist.

"Please let me go baby", he said dejectedly.

"Kyu taki aap kamre mein jake roh sake", she stated.

"Please let it be", he pleaded but she was in no mood to let it go today.

"Why let it be, am not letting this go at all", she said wiping his tears away and ruffling his hairs adoringly.

She began to open the button of his shirts.

"Sana", Maa gasped.

"Baby kya kar rahi hai", Sidharth asked stopping her.

"Shanti rakhenge doh minute", saying so she bared his chest for both of ladies eyes and he turned red at it but didn't dared to stop her obviously being scared of the consequences.

She turned his back towards them and that's when he got what she was trying to do.

"Yeh dekh rahi hai aap apke bete ne Yeh saza di hai khud ko", she said and then left the kitchen where awkward silence fell and Sidharth immidiately slided back into the shirt hurriedly.

"Yeh dekh rahi hai apke bete ne Yeh kiya hai", she said handing over the papers of NGo.

" Shehnaaz don't you dare", he hissed at her mention of dying.

"Dekh rahi hai marne ki baat bhi nahi karne dete mujhe isse zyada aur kya saboot chahiye apko ki voh care karte hai meri", she said.

"Arey meri khud ki family joh mujhe jaan se zyada chahne ka dawa karti hai pichle 6 mahino mein mazal hai Rajbir ke alawa kisi ne apni shakal bhi dikhayi ho Yeh sab joh aap dikha rahe ho na maa ki meri bahut parwah hein aap sabko aur Sidharth ne mere sath galat kiya toh aapne unse apka beta hone ka haq cheen liya fareb hi Yeh sab, mat kijiye Yeh naah hi, mere sath naa hi unke sath jaab humein family ki zarurat thi na toh koyi nahi aya humein dekhne. Mein bed pe zinda lash ki trah padi thi tab koi ni aya puchne aur aaj bhi aap yaha isiliye khadi hai kyuki maine apko bulaya hai. Lekin phir bhi kam se kam aap itna toh janti hoo ki apki beti sahi slamat hai mere khud ke gharvale toh Yeh bhi nahi jante ki mein bed par padi hoon ya phir", she sighed.

"Maa Mein apke hath jodti hoon maa unhe maaf kar dijiye unhe aur rote hue dekhne ki himmat nahi hai mujhme bahut mushkil se life track pe ane lagi hai agar inhe takleef hui toh bardasht nahi kar paungi
maa", she said folding her hands and closing her eyes finally to blink back her tears.

Maa pulled her closer whereas, Sidharth stood there looking at them in daze wondering why do he never realized that she would have missed her family too even his family too.

How bad do she might have felt that nobody from her family has ever asked about her whereabouts even after knowing her health conditions it's almost a freaking year and he haven't ever received a single phone call from any of her family members afcourse accept Rajbir.

"Sidharth", Maa called him through her hand bringing him back to reality.

"J.. Ji, he replied startled.

"Idhar aah bacha", Maa said pulling him in a bone crushing hug.

"Am sorry bacha", Maa whispered to Sidharth while tears streamed down her face.

"Am sorry maa for disappointing you", he said.

"Galati ko manne vala bada hota hai beta aur phir tune jiske sath galat kiya usne tujhe maaf kar diya tune uski mafi kama li", Maa said pecking his forehead out of affection.

"So mujhe mafi milegi", he asked.

"Afcourse", Maa nodded whereas Sana stood a bit away from them.

"Tu kaha bhaag rahi hai idhar aah", Maa called her.

"J. Ji", she replied wiping her face.

"Beta mein janti hoon parivar sath na ho toh ek ajeeb sa khali pan lgta hai mann tutta tutta sa lagta hai lekin tu chinta na kar mein pammi ko phone karke Dantungi", Maa said.

"Nahi maa koi jarurat nahi hai mere pas mera parivar hai aap ho Sidharth hai Didi hai Rajbir hai kafi hai itna even papaji (Sidharth's father) bhi hafte mein ek baar phone karke puch lete hai apni beti ka haal", she said with a bitter smile.

"Ashok ji phone karte hai wah ji humein toh pata hi nahi tha unke paas toh tumhara number bhi nahi tha aur mujhse toh kabhi manga nahi", Maa teased.

"Jiss insan ko hum chahte hai na unn tak phonchane ke raste apne aap bann jate hai maa unhone apke phone se number churaya tha", she said with a laugh.

"Haww churaya tha mein kya mana karti bhala", Maa frowned.

"Voh kya hai na unka beta satayi hui bahu ki trah act karta phir ki unhe phone ni kiya kabhi lekin bahu ko karte hai isiliye aur aap inhe bataye bgair manti nahi", Sana said.

"Bacha pyaar karte hai tere gharwale bhi tujhse tu baat karle na ek baar", Maa said.

"Maa pyaar karte hote toh parwah bhi karte na shayad lekin unn logo ne toh shadi karke mujhe praya kar diya toh bs mein bhi Vahi kar rahi hoon aap log kafi ho mere liye", saying so she hugged both Maa and Sidharth tightly as her eyes well up again.

"No", he whispered softly while shaking his head requesting her to not to cry, wiping her tears away.

"I will not", she muttered with a smile while wiping her eyes away.

"Chalo batao aab kya banau lunch ke liye", she asked from Sidharth.

"Peeli dal aur chawal", Sidharth grinned.

"uske alawa bhi duniya mein chize hoti hai khane ke liye ", both the ladies shouted.

"Mera B. Day hai", he whined.

"Subah tak toh koi thank you bhi sade hue tamatar ki trah bol raha
tha", Sana teased.

"Aab tamatar ki sabzi ban gayi na isliye voh khush hai", saying so he pecked Maa's head whereas both the ladies chuckled.

He pulled both of his women's in his embrace and crushed them to his chest.

"I love you both my ladies", he said aloud.

"Chalo aap maa-beta gappe ladao mein khana banti hoon", saying so she left.

Sana first took a bowl and soaked rice in it. She then washed dal, putting it in the cooker to let it boil along with salt and turmeric. She was putting rice to boil when she felt her vision getting blurry and loosing her balance. She held the slab for support and stood still for a minute.

"Lagta hai zyada hi kaam kar liya hai maine", she said to herself.

She hurriedly put the rice in a vessel and come out of the kitchen so that she can lay down for some time. She was about to sit down at the couch when her vision get blurry again and she collapsed at the couch.
