Separated

Chapter 2- is it home

I pace back and forth through my lounge room and can feel my father and the genie's concerned stairs but I simply ignore them and my father steps forward "Regina..." I turn to him "what!" He frowns "what's wrong is it snow or..." I cut him off and say "don't say her name!" Daddy nods as steps back I sigh and slump into my chair still keeping my queen-like posture. There's a knock on the door and a guard walks in. He turns to me and says "snow whites has been spotted" ...

I went to the village and searched every place in there when I went to the orphanage I even asked if they knew an 7 year old named Charlotte but they said no I'm starting to lose hope on finding my daughter I went to the woods to think but I see a young girl slumped against a tree and she's breathing heavily

I observe her but here a snap I look to see one of my Guards approaching the girl with a sword held high the girl looks at him in fear and he says "your on the queens land" I feel my anger rise as he goes to strike I yell "you idiot stop!" And through him into a tree with my magic I turn to the girl who's now trembling "it's ok"  she stares at the ground and i say in concern "is something wrong dear?" she shakes her head no and says "it's just I saw you at the orphanage" i furrow my brow and say "why weren't you outside?" she goes to respond but stops herself and says "I'm sorry I can't tell you" i raise my brow at her and say "what are you doing way out hear the orphanage quite far away" she shrugs and says "I ran off" i look at her confused and say "why?" she says hesitantly "miss lee and her friend said something that bothered me" i laugh slightly and say"well that's not very descriptive" she responds with "well I don't exactly know you" i nod at her fair point and say "I suppose not tell me about yourself" she looks at me skeptical but nods and says "I was left at the orphanage when I was a month old I'm 7 now my favorite color purple and I like horses... oh and my names Charlotte" my eyes widen and I freeze for a second it can't be i step closer to her could she be my daughter

  I crouch down to her height so I can observe her face she looks at me confused and says "something wrong"? My eyes glossed over she looks like Daniel she furrowed her brow before saying "your my mother aren't you?" I nod slowly choking on breath as my tears run freely I pull her into my arms. I feel her stiffen but then she melts into my arms. I cling to her...my daughter. I found her I keep hold on her for a while but pull away a little later. I smile at her and nervously say "do you want to come back to my home with me?" she nods and I feel relief come over me

. I look down at her once again with pure joy and grab her hand. We walk back to the carriage once we get there the guard looks at me confused I shake it off and open the door for Charlotte she climbs in and sits across from me...

Charlotte's pov-
I sit across from the queen and I'm not sure what to do so I  lay my head on the wall and close my eyes to think I Think about how warm it felt to be in the queens arms and about leaving Ellie I feel the sadness overcome and I open my eyes I look to see the queen smiling at me I look down and she says "your very beautiful" I look up at her and with a slightly shocked expression and she just smiles showing her geniality I smile slightly and look out window to see it raining I put my face practically agents the window I hear the queen laughing she says "what is it'' I turn around and say "it's raining" the queen says "do you like the rain?" I nod and she smiles at me. We sit in silence but the queen says "what was your life like'' I say with slight confusion "you mean for the first 7 years?" She nods and I say "I..." I stop and think about my past. I haven't really had much of a life so I don't say anything. The queen looks at me confused and says "what is it?" I shake my head and say "it was great" the queen looks at me skeptical but nods when we arrive the queen opens the door and let's me out I smile at the feeling of the rain i look up to the huge castle with my mouth slightly agape the queen puts a hand on my back and says "I'll get you a handmaiden and a room" I look at her wide eyed but nod and we walk to the castle...

The queen got me a room and my handmaiden is helping me wash myself I told her I could try to do it myself but she insisted I just sit there awkwardly why she washes my hair when she's done I get out and she helps me dry off she walks me back into my bedroom and opens the big set of white doors in the middle of the room I look in and see rows and rows of dresses my eyes widen and she says "pick one out for dinner with the queen" I look to her with shock but nod before going to look at the dresses I don't really like any of them I trace my hand along the line and stop when I see a flash of light blue I pull the dress out and observe it it has a flowy bottom with short sleeves and a Ribbon tying in the front I look to my hand maiden aubrey and she nods with a slight smile before taking the dress and motioning me into my room she gets me into the dress And folds my towel on the floor then says "what shoes would you like to where?" I go back into my closet and look at shoes. I pick a pair of black flats and Aubrey nods before putting them on me. Once we're done Aubrey puts some lip gloss on me and goes to do my hair. She says "what would you like me to do?" I shrug and say " you can do whatever you want"  She smiles and starts on my hair she does a French braid that goes into a ponytail then she braided the ponytail and put it in a bun I thank her and she says "it should be time for dinner there will be a guard outside waiting for you he will take you to the queen" I nod and go outside and a guard is standing there just like Aubrey said he smiles and walks me down the hall I observe the area there's a lot of mirrors and it's dark when we get there he opens the door slightly and I walk in to see the queen sitting at one end of a table she looks up at me and smiles brightly a worker in the room motions me to sit opposite of the queen I take seat and the queen motions them to bring the food they sit down 2 trays and lift the top to reveal vegetables and stake they walk away and I try to just eat the vegetables on the side once I'm done I stare at the meat with dread I haven't ate meat since I was 2 I put down my fork and decide to not eat it I can tell the queen wants to talk

   but she never does I sit in silence but suddenly feel sick I stand and looks to me confused I feel the puke rise in my throat and run of I run to the closet bathroom I can find and puke up all that's in my stomach when I'm done I lay on the floor I hate being sick

   I eventually find the strength to stand and I walk back to the dining room the guard lets me in the queen stands as soon as I enter she says worriedly "what happen are you alright" I nod and say "yes your majesty I just don't feel too good" the queen looks at me with concern and says "why don't you try to rest" I shake my head no and say "I'm fine thank you" the queen sighs and says loudly "dinners over" the workers start moving and the queen walks over to me she crouches down to my height and puts her hand on my arm I try my best not to flinch I only ever let Ellie touch me the queen says "come with me" I nod being slightly confused and follow the queen we get to a big set of double doors and the queen opens them she steps aside and motions me in I do as said and the queen closes the door she says "this is my room wait here I'll be back in a minute" I nod and the queen walks of I look around and see a huge bed with black and red blankets there's also a big vanity along with a fireplace and couch there's 3 doors one is open so you can see it's a closet and I assume one of the other ones is a bathroom I sit down on the couch and the queen comes out of one of the doors she smiles at me and says "come here" I stand and walk over to her she motions me to her vanity I look at her confused she says "sit I'm going to take out your hair" my eyes widen but I don't dare refuse I sit down and look at my hands awkwardly I feel gentle hands start to pull at my hair slightly then I feel all the pressure from my hair release as the queen takes out my ponytail she runs her fingers through the French braid she starts to brush it out while she's brushing it there's a knock on the door the queen sits the brush on her vanity and goes to answer it I see a guard holding something and he hands it to the queen she takes it and walks over to me she smiles warmly before saying "I got someone to bring your night clothes why don't we get you changed" I nod and stand up we go into the queen's closet and she starts to untie my dress I  step back and she looks to me confused I say "I can do it" she looks at me and says "ok I'll be right outside if you need me" I nod nod she walks out closing the door behind her I reach behind me to untie the strings but I can't do it I struggle for a couple minutes then grone and crack the door slightly I say "your majesty"

Regina's POV-   
I hear Charlotte say "your majesty" I frown but  turn around to see her with her head poked out of the door I smile and say "yes" she looks down and says "I need help" I laugh and walk up to her she looks up at me with her big brown eyes and I motion her inside I crouch down behind her And grab the strings I pull them undoing the tie and pull out the strings the dress falls to the floor and I grab her night clothes so I can help her get dressed after I'm done I lead her outside into my room...
