Chapter 23- im fine

The sun comes up and I decide to go to town I walk around for a little and bump into somone I gasp and say "oh my gosh I'm so sorry" I move the hair out of my face and look up to see a taller guy with long hair in a bun my eyes meet his and I clear my through he  smiles and says "it's alright, you have a lot on your mind darling?" I try to avoid his capturing gaze and shrug "I guess" he smiles and says "I'm Alec and you are?..." my eyes widen when I realize he's asking for my name and I say "oh my names Charlotte Charlotte mills" he smiles and says "it was nice meeting you Charlotte ide love to talk again I really do love the docks and looking at the water I go there most days at 3" he walks away and I furrow my brow does he want me to go to the docks tomorrow at 3 I shake it off and walk around for a while and my eyes widen when I see Ellie I run over and hug her she gasp and says "Charlotte!" I smile and pull back "oh Ellie I've missed you so much!" She laughs and holds my hand close I furrow my brow and Say "weres cam?" She frowns and says "people round town have been going missing as you May know and I can't find him I fear he's turned into one of those flying monkeys people are talking about" my eyes widen in fear and I say "little John turned into one of thoses and one of my friends from then chanted forest Aroura to" she sighs and says changing the subject "are you ok?you look tired" I sigh "I just didn't get much sleep last night and I may or may not have magicked myself out of the house last night when I said I was going to the bathroom and went to the camp with Robin Hood" her eyes widen and she says "your probably worrying your mom to death!" I sigh and say "i know I don't mean to but... it's just complicated" she nods and says "well I'm telling you to go home right Now we'll catch up later" I look at her ready to object but sigh and nod when I know I'm not gonna get anywhere she smiles and hugs me before moting me off I walk back home and each step closer I feel my nerves rise maybe she didn't even motice I was gone I scoff and hold back my laugh it's mom of course shell know I walk up to the door and take a deep breath before taking out my key and unlocking the door I close it behind me and lock it back when I here mom yell causing my to cringe "CHARLOTTE were the hell have you been!" I take a deep breath before turning around to meet her gaze she looks at me sternly and says "I was worried all night you can't just leave without telling me not after what happened" I suddenly feel a Pang of guilt I didn't realize how scared mom would be after losing me when I was a baby and again 3 years ago she must have been absolutely terrified I sigh and say "I'm so sorry I was at robins camp I sleep there last night" mom looks to me with no exasperation for a second and I just stand there aquardly but she walks forward and hugs me tightly saying "don't ever do that to me again!" I nod smiling and say "i promise" she squeezes me tightly one more time before pulling back "but don't think your not in trouble and there will be consequences you have to do the dishes after we eat" I nod and she smiles placing a kiss on my cheek I look behind her and my heart sinks when I see the dark fuguer I pull back and smile at her before running upstairs I go to my room and take a shower I sigh as the water runs over my body and close my eyes but when I do I get a memory\vision of mom being electrocuted I lose my footing and fall causing a loud thud I inhale sharply and hear mom yell "CHARLOTTE ARE YOU OK!" I take a second to stand back up before yelling back "IM FINE!" I get out of the shower and rub my ankle before putting on a hodie and leggings and going downstairs to see mom turning off the stove I walk over and she smiles to me "dinners done could you set the table" I nod and grab the silverware setting two spots mom walks over with the food and we both sit down I start eating and we sit in silence the hole time I finish my food and wipe my mouth with my napkin I look back up to see mom looking at me she smiles and I return the gesture but stand quickly when I see the dark figure again my chair falls over and I pick it back up shakily mom looks behind her quickly then looks back to me in concern "are you ok?" I nod and grab the dishes "yah I'm fine" I go back to the kitchen quickly and start washing them I get a vision and have to stop for a second

"You look lovely darling I've very happy you agreed to come out to dinner with me this evening" her laugh echos around the room as she replies "why thank you I really enjoy it" he smiles proudly "would you like to come back to my place after we eat?" The girl looks to him with confusion "oh Um... sure I just can't be out to late my mom will worry" he nods smiling and stands offing the girl his had she takes it and they walk down the road to this abandoned looking house the girls muscles tense as they get closer the man tightens his grip on her arm and she yelps in pain as he grabs her by the back of the neck and pushes her through the door slamming it behind him "shhh no one can here you little pet"...

I gasp as I come to reality and turn around trying to catch my breath I scream when I see the dark figure again and drop the plate i was washing it slices my hand open And I gasp at this overwhelming feeling of not being in my own body mom runs in the room quickly and her eyes widen when she sees my hand she runs over and waves her hand over it heeling it quickly I can't stop myself from shaking and I keep my stair to the wall mom cups my face and I flinch away from her she looks to me in concern and says "Charlotte honey please tell me what's going on" I look to the floor with tears in my eyes and say "I keep getting visions of this man and I keep seeing the person" her brow furrows in concern and she says "let's clean up your hand and go sit down than you can tell me everything" I nod as she sticks my blood covered hand under the facet and starts to sweet up the broken glass while still holding onto me close I sigh as I feel like a fragile pice of glass willing to breach at any moment mom finishes and we walk over to the couch we sit down and I look to the floor nervously And mom says "honey please what's wrong" I can hear the concern I her voice but everything in me wants to find a way to escape this I look into her eyes and say "I've been having visions were there's this man I don't know who he is and I can't see his face but he's friends with this girl or more I don't know but..." mom looks to me in concern and I say "but he hurts her" mom furrows her brow and says on concern "how does he hurt her?" I take a deep breath remembering the things I've seen "he takes her away from people and into the dark and tricks her into thinking it's will be fine but it's not he hits her and he..." I pause for a moment not wanting to say the next part but mother looks to me and says "Charlotte you can tell me" I nod "he takes of her cloths and does things to her" I see the color drain from moms face as I countiue "she wants him to stop but he just laughs as she screams for and my body to help her but then once he's done she goes home and acts like it didn't happen" I look back to mother to see her with her eyes wide and her hand over her mouth in shock she turns to Me and says "and You've seen this in your visions?" I can hear the fear in her voice and I nod looking to the ground she pulls me close hugging me tightly and says "I'm sorry you have to see all these things I know it's not easy and your a very brave girl" I nod taking in her comforting sent and say "I also have been seeing this dark figure" mom looks to me confused and says "I'm a vision?" I shake my head "no in real life he just shows up sometimes but it only started last night" moms eyes widen and she says "when was the last time you saw it?" I shrug and say "when I droped tha plate in the kitchen I also saw it at dinner when my chair fell" her brow furrows and she says "have you seen it any other times?" I nod and say "yes I saw it behind me in the mirror last night in the bathroom it scared me so I left but I also saw it in the tent at robins camp it dosnt ever stay for longer than a few seconds after I see it" I see her concern grow and she says "it could be your mind playing tricks on you I could schedule you a session with Archie but just in case it's not I'm putting a protection spell around the house" I nod and she walks up to the door lifting her hands purple magic starts flowing out of them and surrounding the house I watch in amazement once she's done she walks back over to me and grabs my hand "I love you with all of my heart thank you for telling me" I smile and lean forward hugging her tightly she holds me close and says "it's about time for you to go to bed if you need me don't be afraid to ask" I nod and smile "you've always taken care of me no matter what happend you've always loved me" she smiles and says "of course and I always will" I smile and stand yawning mom laughs and says "you've had a long day tomorrow we can do something fun ok" I nod and head upstairs I go to my room and get out my Journal writing a quick summary of today before climbing in bed I close my eyes and attemp to fall asleep but I feel a presence in the room I open my eyes and gasp when I see the figure I Lean my head agent the headboard and grone before grabbing my blanket and walking down the hall toreds moms room I knock on the door and crack it open I see mom laying down and she has a book open she looks over to me and smiles patting the spot beside her on the bed I walk over and clime on top the bed laying my heeding on her shoulder "I don't wanna sleep alone I tried to go to sleep but I saw the shadow" mom looks to me in concern and places a kiss on my head "just try to get some sleep don't worry I'll be here the hole time no one can hurt you" I nod and close my eyes finally letting sleep take over...
