Chapter 6- Did you lay hands on a victim?

Harper shoots Kelly a look before walking over
"What the hell were you thinking!" Grissom shouts
"I wasn't" Harper says calmly
"Clearly you weren't! When did you learn to put your hands on people in the academy!" Grissom shouts
"I didn't! But if you haven't noticed the real world is very different from the academy!" Harper says
"Oh how so?" Grissom asks
"I'm the only female captain within a ton of firehouses! And I would know I manage all of the truck companies in Chicago! Men think they can take advantage of us! Prime example from today!" Harper shouts
"That still gives you no reason to lay your hands on him!" Grissom shouts
"He put hands on me first! Am I not allowed to defend myself! Oh right that puts a bad name on the CFD!" Harper shouts
"You have been slipping up a lot recently!" Grissom says
"Oh? And how's that?" Harper asks confused
"First you got a firefighter killed! What was his name? Brian! Then you put a paramedic in the hospital as you said it was safe to come in when clearly it wasn't!" Grissom says angrily
Harper goes silent and is shocked by what he has just said
"That's enough Gris!" Kelly says standing next to Harper
"No! She needs to know that she killed someone!" Grissom shouts
"That's enough! Get out of my firehouse!" Boden shouts
"Your gonna pay for this!" Grissom whispers into Harper's ear
Grissom storms out of the firehouse and everyone turns to look at Harper. She notices them all looking but stays silent until she walks away
"I don't know if we can distract her from this one" Kelly says
"That was the reason she wanted to quit and now that Grissom has said that there's nothing stoping her" Boden says
Just then Kelly gets a call from Matt and answers it. He puts it on loud speaker
"Hey! Is the whole firehouse there?" Matt asks
"Everyone except from Harper" Kelly replies
"Okay! You can tell her later!" Matt says really happy
"What's going on?" Cruz asks
"Gabbys awake! And talking! She's going to be fine!" Casey says enthusiastically
"That's great news!" Kelly says
"We will all drop by after shift and welcome gabby back!" Herrmann says
"Bring Harper! Gabby has been asking for her!" Casey says
"We will! This is just what she needs right now!" Kelly says smiling
"Okay well I'll let you get back to fighting fires!" Casey says before ending the call
"That's going to be great for Harper! But will it stop her from quitting?" Cruz asks
"I have an idea!" Mouch says appearing at the door of the firehouse...
