Chapter 54 - Not Talking

Kelly gets so frustrated that he grabs the thing closest to him and throws it against the wall. Harper hears the noise and creeps out of arias room trying not to wake her. She shuts the door carefully and walks over to the smashed object on the floor
"I didn't mean to" Kelly says before Harper turns around the objet to reveal there wedding photo
"Out of anything in the room you could have thrown. You chose our wedding photo?" Harper says trying to pick up the pieces
"Here let me" Kelly says getting down towards Harper but she cuts him off
"I think you should go to caseys tonight" Harper says looking at the floor
Kelly just nods and grabs his coat
"You know i would never hurt you right?" Kelly says as he grabs the door handle
But Harper doesn't respond
"Right?!" Kelly says starting to panic
"Goodnight Kelly" Harper says with her voice breaking a bit due to her feeling overwhelmed
Kelly opens the door and closes it behind him. He stands at the door for a second
"Not Babe or Honey! I'm just Kelly now" Kelly thinks before walking down to his car
Harper sits on the floor and cleans up the shattered glass. She lets a few tears fall but doesn't want to wake up Aria
"Get married they said! It will be nothing but a smooth ride!" Harper says before wiping her tears away and scrapping the shattered glass into the bin
"Ouch!" Harper says as a piece of glass slices her hand
She lets out a sigh before grabbing some kitchen roll and wiping it
It's the next morning and Harper is getting ready for shift. She has just dropped aria off at school and is heading to the firehouse. She has tons of missed calls from Kelly but hasn't called him back yet. She walks into the firehouse to see Boden standing
"Harper! Just the person!" Boden shouts enthusiastically
"What's up chief?" Harper asks
"I want you to do a drill today! With your truck guys and the squad guys!" Boden says smiling
Harper hesitates before sighing
"You've got it!" Harper says before walking in
She gets changed and heads out to the driveway where everyone from squad and truck is lined up apart from Kelly. Kelly explains the drill and they all turn to Harper
"You good with that Captain?" Amelia asks
"Umm yeah! I guess! Just take your orders from Severide" Harper says as Cruz looks at Capp shocked
"She never calls him Severide!" Cruz whispers shocked 
"Let's go guys!" Kelly shouts as they all run up
Kelly stands next to Harper
"What happened to your hand?" Kelly asks
"Oh I must have sliced it when I picked up that glass last night" Harper says looking at her hand
"That looks really deep! Maybe ask Dawson to look at it?" Kelly suggests
"I can assure you it's fine! And maybe I wouldn't have cut it if some idiot didn't break the only wedding photo in our house!" Harper shouts before walking away and everyone stands there shocked...
