"No! Kelly tell him! You need me! Chief! Come on! Tell him please! I need to return to active duty!" Harper says panicking
"I'll leave you guys to talk" The doctor says before walking out
"I'm so sorry sweetheart" Kelly says giving her a hug
"No!" Harper says pushing Kelly off
"There's no reason to be sorry! I'm not getting the surgery and I'm going back to work!" Maya shouts getting up
"What are you doing?" Casey asks
Harper gets up off her bed and tries to stand up, she then collapses onto the ground
"Woah!" 51 says as they all lean in to catch her
"Come on! Back to bed!" Kelly says holding her hand and guiding her back to bed
Harper just breaks down in tears
"What's up?" Kelly asks calmly
"Oh no! What's wrong?" Gabby says rushing to her side
"I was the youngest Luitenent in Chicago! I made Luitenent at 27! That's a big deal!" Harper says whilst sobbing
"We know it is!" Boden says taking her hand in his
"And then I made captain at 30! I was the youngest captain in Chicago! And now all of that hard work has gone down the drain!" Harper says with her hands buried into her head
"It's not all gone down the drain!" Kelly says looking at the rest of 51 hoping they will say something
"Yeah! Your still an amazing firefighter either way!" Casey says smiling
"And we were so lucky to have you captain on truck 81! It got better once you were there!" Herrmann says
"And look how far you've come! You came to Chicago as a paramedic! And now your a captain for one of the best truck companies in Chicago!" Gabby says smiling
"And you have 4 beautiful kids who knows that there mum is a fighter! Your gonna fight every step of the way during your recovery! Your gonna show them that you can overcome anything because" Mouch says before gabby cuts him off
"Because your a badass Harper Severide!" Gabby says enthusiastically
"Hell yeah you are!" Kelly says smiling
"I mean not quite the words I would have used but anyway" Mouch says as Harper lets out a laugh
"You guys really know how to make a firefighter feel better!" Harper says smiling
"We're a team at 51! And we're gonna help you through this! If that means late night physiotherapy then so be it!" Boden says smiling
"Not too late though! I need my beauty rest!" Capp says as everyone laughs
"You clearly haven't been getting enough sleep then!" Harper says whilst laughing
"Now I see where aria gets it from!" Capp says annoyed
