Chapter 56 - In love with the uniform

It's later that night and Harper is woken by a knock at the door
"Who the hell knocks on someone's door at 2am!?" Harper says whilst going to open the door
When she opens it she discovers a very wet man
"Kelly?"  Harper asks concerned
"I'm not sleeping or eating! I need you Harper! I know I messed up and I get it if you can't forgive me but I love you! And I'll never stop loving you!" Kelly says as he stands in the rain
"Come here! Your gonna catch a cold!" Harper says wrapping a blanket around him as he walks in
"And I love you too!" Harper whispers
Harper sits Kelly down on the couch and sits next to him rubbing his back
"I think you owe another little girl an apology" Harper says looking at aria standing groggily at her bedroom door
Kelly stands up and walks over to her
"I would never hurt your mum sweetheart! Dad just got a bit annoyed the other night! And I feel terrible about not helping you with your project so I made you this!" Kelly says pulling out his phone and playing a video
*The video*
"Hey everyone! I'm arias dad! And I'm here to show you the ins and outs of being a firefighter! I'm the captain of squad 3! Which is one of the best squads in Chicago! I'm stationed at firehouse 51 and we have 3 trucks and 1 ambulance! Let me show you them!" Kelly says as he shows the firehouse
"Hi everyone! I'm Matthew Casey! And I'm the captain of engine 51! We put out all of the fires with our hoses!" Casey says as he shows the camera all of the hoses in the truck
"Pretty cool right!" Casey says smiling
"Hey everyone! I'm Harper Severide but everyone here calls me Harper Bailey! I'm the captain of Truck 81! And we are the best of both worlds! We get to put out fires but also rescue people from burning buildings! Being a firefighters one of the best jobs in the world!" Harper says smiling
"And I'm Gabriella Dawson! I'm the PIC on ambulance 61! We go out and help the injured people of Chicago!" Gabby says smiling
The rest of the video shows the firehouse and parts of the recent call that Harper just went on
*Present Day*
"That's so cool dad! Thank you!" Aria says giving Kelly a giant hug
"Your welcome honey! Now let's get you back to bed!" Kelly says lifting her up and putting her back to bed
"That's my man!" Harper whispers
It's the next day and Harper is on shift. Luckily Grissom hasn't dropped by
"Truck 81, Single vehicle car accident, South side Bank" The intercom says
Harper runs out and they all jump into the truck. When they arrive on scene they see a man tapped in a car that has gone into the side of a bank
"You okay sir?" Harper asks standing at the door
"Yeah! Just feeling really stupid!" The man says
"Don't worry about it! I've seen worse!" Harper says smiling
"I'm Grey!" Grey says smiling
"I'm Harper! Or Captain Bailey if you wanna be professional!" Harper says as she laughs
"Now let's get you out of here grey!" Harper says as she starts to cut the car door open
They manage to get grey out and hand him over to the paramedics. They clean up there mess and head back to the firehouse. It's a few hours later and Harper is in her quarters when Capp appears at the door
"Hey Captain! There's some guy on the app floor for you!" Capp says
"Thanks Capp!" Harper says as she walks out
"Captain Bailey!" Grey says smiling
"Being professional are we?" Harper says as she laughs
"I just thought I'd swing by and give you these as a thank you!" Grey says holding up a box of donuts
"Thank you! You didn't have to!" Harper says as she takes the box
"I was wondering if you wanted to go out with me sometime?" Grey asks
"Look grey! Your a great guy! But it's called being in love with the uniform! It will wear off in a few days trust me!" Harper says
"Well here's my card in case you change your mind!" Grey says handing her his card and walking out
"Harper!" Grissom says as he walks in
"Shoot!" Harper whispers
