'One step closer'
Today was it. The day that would bound me and Edward not only in court but sacredly. Being a witch, It was tradition that the witch of the family, in this case my dad or grandma send a sign of approval.
Currently, I am sitting still as Alice is doing my makeup. Rosalie had insisted on doing my hair and I was more then ecstatic that the blonde had accepted me.
And as for who would walk me down the isle, I had asked Carlisle to since he was close with my father. I had had a dream last night and was able to talk to my parents. My dad was bawling his eyes out while my mum had rolled her eyes at his dramatics.
My parents were truly made for each other. I only hoped me and Edward shared a sacred love like there's.
"Time for the dress" Alice exclaims happily as I smile at the pixie like girl.
TIME SKIP
"Breathe in, Breathe out" I mumble taking deep breaths as me and Carlisle get ready.
"Don't worry Ember, you'll be fine." he says and I smile at him.
"Thank you" I say
"No problem, and by the way. Knowing your parents. I'm sure they must be extremely proud of you" he says making my smile wider. He turns to face the door and by that I know that its time.
Walking, step by step I inhale deep breaths of air. Nerves try to cling on me but I ignore them and walk.
Entering the main isle, I glance around and see my friends, Jacob and Bella who are smiling at me along with Seth and the pack. I see friends and family and continue to walk.
I spot Alice, Jasper, Emmet, Rosalie and Esme standing with big smiles on there faces.
In a blank spot in the rows of seats, I swear that I can see my parents who smile at me. A soft smile appears on my lips as I look forward and am greeted by the person I love most in this world.
Edward returns my smile, hands behind and kept as he watches me walk towards him.
I finally reach the area and I give Carlisle one last smile before gently grabbing Edward's already outstretched hand. The two of us walk forward and then stand before the priest.
"Ladies and gentleman we are gathered on this glorious day to witness the union of Edward Cullen and Ember Moore. Please repeat after me. I Edward Cullen" The priest states.
"I Edward Cullen" Edward repeats.
"Take you, Ember Moore" The priest states
"Take you, Ember Moore. to have and to hold" he says, as the two of us stare lovingly into each others eyes.
"For better or for worse" I say
"For richer or for poorer" Edward says
"In sickness and in health" I say
"To love" he says
"To cherish, as long as we both shall live" I say
"I do" he says
"I do" I say
"I love you" he says
"I love you" I say
"You may now, kiss your bride" he says and the both of us lean in and kiss as the crowd erupts in cheers.
We break apart and smile at the crowd as Edward places his hand around my waist. Suddenly flower petals star falling from the sky and I smile. "My father approves" I whisper into Edward's ear and his smile widens.
TIME SKIP
It was official. I was now, Misses Cullen. Right now me and my husband, (that has a nice ring to it) were greeting guests.
"Hey man, nice to see you" Seth says as he and Billy make there way to us.
"I'm really happy for you guys" Seth says, and me and Edward smile.
"Thank you" Edward says with a smile.
"I hope you'll be happy, Ember" Billy says
"Thank you Billy" I say
"Congratulations Em, its nice to know that you got married before me" Jake says, appearing and we laugh.
"Well, you still have a few years Jake so calm down" I say
"Congratulations Ember" Bella says, hugging me and we both smile. We had become quite close over time.
"Thanks Bells" I say, the family then make there way to speak to other guests as a new family make there way to us.
"Ember" a lady identified as part of Edwards family greets.
"Eliezer and Carmen, its a pleasure to finally meet you." I say shaking the man's hand .
"Tanya and Kate" I greet the women.
"We've heard so much about you" Kate says and I smile
"Welcome to the family" Eliezer states
"Thank you" I say. Suddenly I sense an angry thought. I glance to the side and see a woman staring at me with angry and sad eyes.
"Urina, come meet Ember" Carmen calls and the family makes way for us to see the woman clearly. The woman hesitantly walks towards Carmen.
"I cant do this" she whispers
"You promised" Tanya scolds
"But she's the one" Urina says as she glares at me.
"Urina she's my mate" Edward states as I feel a sudden rush of anger. Its not my fault that Laurent planned on killing me.
"She killed Laurent" Urina argues
"He tried to kill Ember" Edward defends.
"I don't believe that, he wanted to live with us, to be in peace with humans, with me" Urina says as she comes forward and glares at me.
"Oh really, one of my abilities is to access memories. Here see for yourself" I state as I show her my memory. After, Urina still continues to glare at me.
"I am terribly sorry for your mate, but there our laws I am bound to. No species are allowed to attack a witch. I am sorry for your loss of your mate but he tried to kill me and my friends and I will not stand by and watch him do that" I say, with an intimidating look as she backs down and walks away.
"Lets not monopolize the bride, congratulations" Eliezer says before the family walks away.
"Well what's a wedding without some family drama" Edward says as I chuckle at his method of lightning up the mood.
