Nightmares

~Thorn's POV~

Daddy was scrubbing my head and told me to dunk back.

He helped me rinse off my hair and then helped me out of the tub. I wrapped a towel around my body and I ran to my room to put on my pajamas.

I pulled on my transformers pajamas and climbed into my bunk and laid down. Daddy came over to tuck me in.

"Night night buddy. I'll see you in the morning."

He kissed my forehead and turned on my nightlight before closing my door. I yawned and hugged my dinosaur.

Sleepy...

My eyes slowly closed and I drifted off to my dreams...

"It's our turn now!"

I started running away from my worst nightmare.

"I'm sorry!!"

I keep running but I don't feel myself going anywhere.

"Mommy!!!!"

I kept running but mommy isn't here.

"Daddy!!!"

My tears are running down my face and then I tripped.

My knees are bleeding and they hurt.

I can't see it.

Where is it!?

"Mommy!"

My voice echoed.

"Daddy!"

"I won't do it anymore!"

I curled my knees to my chest and rocked back and forth.

"Mommy, daddy! Please help me!!!"

I heard the laughing getting closer. I got up and started running again.

My legs hurt.

My eyes hurt from crying.

My throat hurts.

My chest hurts.

My teeth hurt too.

"Mommy!! Daddy!!"

Where's my mommy and daddy?

Why aren't they saving me?

My legs kept carrying me away when I fell again.

No!!

I can't swim!!

Water was covering my head and I kept sinking down further and further away from the surface.

Then the monster grabbed my foot and started to pull me to it's mouth.

"I'm sorry!! Please don't eat me!! I won't do it anymore!!"

I stared into the eyes of the giant chocolate chip cookie. It has sharp teeth, red eyes, claws, and a big mouth.

"Mommy!! Daddy!! Help me!!!"

"AAHHHHH!"

I lurched up in my bed and I rubbed at my eyes.

I don't want to eat cookies anymore!!
