June 26th Arkham Island 13:45
Bruce was sitting in the back of a car with Damian just waiting while Helena was addressing a crowd of lay people and reporters when Bruce finally decided to ask Damian what was going on, and he wasn't in the best of moods with it being the anniversary of his parents murder.
"Damian are you ever going to tell me why I'm here" Bruce asked
"To open the the mental facility that will replace Arkham Asylum, you know the one I've been building after knocking down Arkham Asylum" Damian said
"I know that, but why do I have to be here, why do I have to open it" Bruce asked
"Have I not told you" Damian asked
"Told me what" Bruce asked unamused
"We have decided to call it the Thomas and Martha Wayne Memorial Hospital" Damian replied
"What really" Bruce said
"Yes, and Helena and I only thought it fitting to have you the son of Thomas and Martha Wayne as well as Gotham's Golden Son to be the one who cuts the red ribbon" Damian replied
They then heard the signal for them to get out out of the car
"Now may I introduce to you my brother and initiator of this project to clean up Gotham, Damian Wayne-Kent, as well as my father and Gotham's Golden Son for his first public appearance in over a year, Bruce Wayne" Helena announced
Bruce and Damian walked up to the podium, Damian occasionally looking up from his phone where he was doing important work, when they arrived up Bruce was given the floor
"Hello everyone, I have to say this is quite nerve wracking after not doing this in so long. I was literally only told why I was here a few seconds ago so I'll do my best to wing this short spiel. I'm honoured that my two children invited me here today on the forty second anniversary of my parents death to open 'The Thomas and Martha Wayne Memorial Hospital' in their honour. This new state of the art hospital is equipped with the best technology and equipment and will be much more efficient and reliable then Arkham Asylum. So it is with a great pleasure I open to you the people of Gotham, 'The Thomas and Martha Wayne Memorial Hospital' on this day the anniversary of their deaths" Bruce said as a banner dropped behind him revealing the Hospital to everyone
"Damian you really outdid yourself" Helena said
"I know, I can't wait until you see what I have in store for the Narrows" Damian replied smirking
"I know your doing a good thing but the smirking makes it seem evil" Helena laughed
"Sorry old habit" Damian replied
"What are you doing on your phone that's so important" Helena asked
"Just replying to emails about my Narrows initiative" Damian replied
"Well will you stop because we need to take pictures" Helena said
"Tt, fine" Damian replied
They went and took some pictures before they all left and headed home. When Damian arrived home the kids were sat in front of the TV and Jon was sat writing on his laptop in the dining room. He walked in and the kids didn't notice and he walked up behind Jon
"Hey Dami" Jon said hearing him enter
"Hello Beloved" Damian said kissing him
"How was the press thingy" Jon said as he continued to type
"It was great, how's your article going" Damian asked sitting beside him
"It's going, slowly. I've been stuck on this sentence for the last hour" Jon said
