Ryan's Pov
The next week it was time for Kayden to get tested for Cancer. Sheila came down yesterday from Nola.Basically August's whole family! I've been emotional every since I got the news. It's a hard pill to swallow. Chaylin and Amaiya have been trying to stay strong for Kay because she doesn't know what's going on. August decided not to tell her because he doesn't won't anything stressing her out and messing up the test balances.
When we got to the hospital I checked Kay in. They got her a room and I helped her into her mini gown.
Kay- Mama Ryan..
I smiled at her.
Me- Yes baby?
Kay- What's wrong with me?.....why am I at the hospital.
Me- No big deal baby. *Smiles* Just a little check up that's all.
Kay- Will I have to get a shot?
I chuckled.
Me- I don't think so.
Kay nodded. When we finish I picked her up and carried her to the bed. The nurse brought her some crayons and a coloring book. She liked that.
Everyone came in to see Kay before her test. She gave everyone hugs and kisses. The last person was August.
Kay- Uncle Aug! *Smiles*
Aug- Wussup.
He gave her a tight hug.
Aug- Ya kno I luh ya.
Kay nodded.
Kay- And I love you too.
She gave August a kiss on the cheek.
Kay- Uncle August.
Aug- Mhm?
Kay- I'm scared.
Aug- Why?
Kay- What if I get a shot today.
Aug- Ya won't.
Kay- You promise.
Aug- Promise.
After awhile the doctor came in.
Doc- Hey Ms. Kayden.
Kay- Hi. *Smiles*
Doc- Are you ready.
She paused for a second. She then stood up on the bed and jumped on August and hugged him tight.
Kay- No.. I don't wanna go. I'm scared.
Doc- There's nothing to be afraid about.
Kay- What if I get a shot. I hate shots.
Doc- *Chuckles* There won't be any shots Kayden. I assure you that.
Kay- Hold me uncle August.
She hugged August tighter.
Aug- Errthangs fine. It's gonna be ok.
Kay- *Whispers* You promise?
Aug- *Whispers* I promise.
The nurse pulled Kay away from August.
Kay- See you later mama! *Smiles*
Me- See you later baby. *Smiles*
The nurse sat Kay in a wheelchair and wheeled her out. Other relatives said their "Good Lucks" and "See You Laters" out there.
The wait was the most longest and frustrating parts. The whole time I laid on August and he held Ava.
Me-...I'm worried...
Aug- We all are.
A tear shed from my eyes.
Aug- Ryan.. Don start.
He pulled me into him.
Me- *Crying* I hope everything is ok.
Aug- Faith. Dats all ya need.
The whole time waiting Chay and Mya said nothing. They just sat there.
After awhile the doctor came out.
Doc- Kayden Labranch?
Everyone stood up. Uh oh. Here comes the news.
