Alissa: "W- Why didn't you tell me?" She looks at y/n.

Y/n: "I'm sorry. I just- I didn't know how to."

Alissa: "Is that why you never talk about him?"

Y/n wanted to tell her the real reason, but she just couldn't. She didn't want Alissa to know all the things that man did to her. Alissa has gone through enough, she already knew how her father had a bad history, but this, this would make her hate him even more.

Y/n: "Yes. I was just scared of how would you react to me being your half-sister. " She lies, feeling a little of instant regret.

Alissa: "Are you serious!? You're my sister no matter what, y/n!" She stands up, and runs to y/n, giving her a tight hug. "I don't care if we have the same dad, mom, or if we even share the same blood, you're always going to be my sister."

Y/n was crying, feeling good and bad at the same time. She was feeling grateful knowing her sister would love her no matter what, but hated that she preferred to lie than to tell the actual truth.

Y/n: "Thank you, Alissa."

Alissa pulls away from the hug.

Alissa: "I can't believe this is the second time we have hugged in a week." She jokes and they both laugh, cleaning the tears on their faces.

Alissa: "Please promise me you will start being honest with me... And that there won't be any secrets between us."

Y/n: "I promise."

They both smiled to each other.

They sat on the couch together to watch a movie. Although the movie seemed really interesting, Y/n couldn't even pay attention to it, she was distracted feeling miserable. She made that promise, knowing she was already keeping things from Alissa. This made her feel like she was the worst person ever.

Alissa noticed how y/n wasn't paying attention to the movie.

Alissa: "Are you okay?" She asks, putting her hand on y/n's shoulder.

Y/n: She looks at Alissa. "Yeah, I just feel a little tired, I think I'm going to take a quick shower." She stands up and walks to her room.

Y/n just finished taking a shower. When she got out of the bathroom, she heard her phone ringing, like someone was calling her.

Y/n: "Hello!"

Lizzie: "Hey! I'm sorry I didn't text you back this morning, I was really busy with work." She says really fast, trying to explain herself.

Y/n: "Its okay, I don't mind." She says with a weak voice, which Lizzie noticed.

Lizzie: "Is everything alright?"

Y/n: "Yea. I just had a long day, that's it."

Lizzie: "Do you want me to call you later?"

Y/n: "No, no, no." She quickly says. "it's fine. I like talking to you, it makes me feel better."

Lizzie blushed.

Lizzie: "What did you do today?" She asks.

Y/n: "Nothing interesting." She says, trying not to mention the talk she had with Alissa. "What about you, how was work?"

Lizzie: "It was great! Very overwhelming, as always, but overall it was great." She chuckles.

Awkward silence slowly comes in.
