Back at the restaurant (Hailee & Y/n)

Hailee's POV:

Y/n: "Is it done yet!?" She impatiently asks again.

It hasn't even been a minute since the last time she asked which made me laugh. At how adorable she is when she's impatient.

Hailee: "Yes. Now it is."

Y/n: "Finally!" She shouts excited.

——

While the pasta was being cooked, I got a really amount of time to choose a table where Y/n and I could have dinner together. Since the restaurant was closed and there was no one there, I didn't want us feel so alone.

I didn't choose any table, I chose my  favourite table. The one next to the window, looking at the street. The one almost everyone picks to bring their loved ones to have a date. The one we had our first dinner after 3 years of not knowing anything about each other.

This may not be a date for her, but for me it is everything. I want her, but I can't have her if I keep on being scared.

Just when Y/n was about to set out her plate, I stop her.

Hailee: "I know you're really hungry, but before serving us our dinner, I want to show you something."

Y/n: "Oh, okay. What is it?" She asks.

Hailee: "Just... follow me." I awkwardly smile and start walking out of the kitchen to the one table I had prepared for us.

While walking i thought of every little thing that could happen when she sees the table. "What if... she doesn't get the point of this? What if she gets it but doesn't think it's ok? What if this is too much? WHAT IF THIS ISN'T ENOUGH?"

Hailee: "This is it." I nervously say while looking at her, waiting for a reaction.

Y/n stands still, staring at the table.

It had a vase of flowers just in the middle, with some candles around it. There were two glasses of wine, and two plates with cutlery.

That wasn't what made me nervous, but the fact that there was a few red petals around the table too. We all know they symbolize passion and love, which I thought  would be cute. But i still didn't know if she likes it.

Y/n looks at me, "I love this." and says.

A big smile grew on my face, and all of the negative thoughts, all the 'what if's' quickly disappeared from my head.

Hailee: "I'm glad you do."

Third Person's POV:

Before Y/n even took a step, Hailee moved the chair a bit away from the table for Y/n to settle down. When Y/n noticed, she gave Hailee a slight smile and eventually sat down as well.

Hailee: "Ready to try it?" She asked, referring to the dinner that they both cooked.

Y/n: "Is that even a question?" She ironically asked and Hailee laughed.
