"welcome mr. wong," said one of the employee while she bows as lucas went inside the store, "all the rings that you have requested are all here."

lucas let out a long sigh, looking through the diamond rings that were lining up in front of his eyes for him to pick.

he went from store to store of the most famous jewelry store in the city but he still can't find the right one that perfect for the girl he's proposing to.

taeyong came with him as well, lucas wanted to because lucas afraid that he might chose the wrong one.

"everything looks the same lucas," taeyong said standing beside him as his eyes followed lucas scanning the rings that had lined up, "what the hell are you looking for anyway? and for who?"

lucas eyes still scanning the twenty piece of ring that the store had lined up the best piece. it somehow makes him nervous that he can't find the perfect one.

"i just proposed baram." lucas said, earning a wide eyed taeyong beside him.

"y-you what now?" taeyong asks, sure he heard lucas but taeyong just wanted to make what his ears heard was real.

lucas gave an uneasy look and taeyong took that as a sign of something is off.

"she haven't answered, right?" taeyong said and lucas nodded his head.

sometimes lucas hate taeyong for knowing him too much that just by looking at his face, taeyong sure knew what's happening in his pretty head.

baram sure haven't answered his proposal but for some reason lucas felt that she wouldn't say no.

little did he know that there's one person he needs to convince that everything he heard and see was just a misunderstanding.

lucas knew that this person would be hard to convince after lucas changed his life and made him hates lucas even more.

"nope, i just need one person to give me his blessing." with that lucas went to the cashier and payed the ring he had picked and left taeyong in confusion.

lucas parked his car in front of the familiar house and glanced down his watch to see the time and let out a long sigh.

"he should be here any minute now." he mumble to himself while looking back and for from the house to his watch.

just before he could drink his water, a familiar figure walked towards the house and without anymore words lucas left his car and went towards where the guy is.

"jungwoo.." lucas called and gained the attention from him.

jungwoo's face went into confusion before it turns to anger.

"what the hell--"

"i know you're pissed at me and won't forgive me for the rest of your life but please hear me out for a second." he cuts off jungwoo with a pleading look.

"let's just go somewhere else, i don't want to be seen with you." jungwoo said before leading the way towards the nearest cafe around the block.

they sat across each other, and for some reason lucas felt nervous. his hands went shaky and sweaty, even though jungwoo is younger than him, he have all the reasons why he's nervous.

this is the first time they ever talked face to face and just the two of them.

he knew if baram founds out about him meeting her brother, she'll be pissed.

but lucas wanted baram to say yes without thinking her brother would disagree with everything.

he wanted to convince jungwoo to accept him as his brother-in-law, wanted to conviced jungwoo that he's a great man, not like what he have seen.

"what do you want to talk about?" jungwoo asks, when he saw lucas trying to calm himself down and not bringing up what they will talk about.

lucas looked at jungwoo before drinking his iced tea and cleared his throat.

"i proposed to your sister." lucas said and saw the shock face from jungwoo and was ready to throw a big punch towards him but lucas stopped him before he could do so,

"but she haven't answered," lucas continued, "yet."

"she won't say yes," jungwoo said, "i know her and i won't be involved with your dirty life with what you have did to me and her!"

lucas did't know what to say or what to do. jungwoo seems to hate him so much just to hear what jungwoo had said.

it makes lucas blamed himself even more for what happen to baram and to jungwoo also.

"i promise you everything that i can to fix everything what i did jungwoo, not just to baram but to you as well."

lucas said after a minute of silence since he's too speechless what to reply.

"you can disappear from my sister's life and mine if you want to fix it," jungwoo said, earning a shock expression from lucas,

"with that, you saved a lot of time for us and for yourself."

with those last words, jungwoo stood up from his seat and left the cafe. leaving lucas alone still dumbstruck by the younger boy words.

he stopped in his apartment parking lot. finally arriving home safely while his head is filled with thoughts and his own scenarios; sure do, jungwoo's words still going around his head ever since.

he never thought that jungwoo was that hurt; but of course, jungwoo have to leave his friends, his school, his teenage life to make a new life abroad.

jungwoo have to leave everything he have planned for a new life and lucas admit that he's sorry and trying his best to make it up with him.

lucas bite his bottom lip before fishing out his phone and look for baram's name and pressed the green button on the screen.

"hey... are you busy?"

"hey, no.. not really, is there anything i can help you with?"

"where are you? i'll come to you, because i need to talk to you about something."

"um.. sure, i'm at my store."

"alright, i'll be there in fifteen minutes."

with that lucas ended the call.

lucas wanted to keep baram out of it, the part where he wanted to convice her brother about marrying baram.

but his expectations didn't went smooth like he wanted to so he have no other option but to tell baram everything he's been planning--even though baram haven't said yes or no to his proposal either.

even if she did say yes, lucas needed jungwoo's blessing. he's the only closest relation to baram and he's her brother anyway.

lucas started back his car and drove out from the parking lot, making his way towards baram's store without any second thoughts.
